Cute tale between two protagonists who undoubtedly love each other. Oh well, to put it as simple as that is wrong. Shakugan no Shana involves too much of unknown fictitious terms and is quite hard to handle. Like for instance, you'll encounter words like "Mystes", "Flame Haze", "Interpreter of Condolence", "Corpse Collector" and others (the translations may vary too). You'll also see a lot of peculiar and idiosyncratic characters, each one hard to memorize because of the names they have. And the classification of characters end up to four categories (or more). In short, it is a complicated piece of work.

However, I don't care much about the complications since I enjoyed the part where it shows their high school lives. You know, stuff like "Suki" and that. That makes a slice of life kind of anime appear more realistic. In fact, even though it seems unrealistic, the fact that love is in the air of every anime makes it more "human". Here in Shakugan no Shana, elements of falling in love and defining what a kiss is are present. Looks like it's more like a teenage fluff show in that manner. But the fighting scenes and casting spells make it so like every other sort of magical anime.

Though I fail to introduce this anime in a better perspective (which is supposed to be clearer than this), I could say that this is somewhat good. 8/10 grade. Not bad. Just confusing.

Screen cap: (only of Shana)
