2009 Wishlist

Howdy! 2008 has been a very lucky, happy, blessed, whatever you call it year for me. In fact, I was thinking that 2009 would be horrible because of this.

So in any case, I am stating this or rather NEXT year's wishlist. It or it could not be fulfilled like what happened in 2008. Of course I wish things would go as well as 2008.

1. Upgrade Mr-PC-Reborn. Yeah, this has been in the 2008 wishlist, but then... forget it. haha. I think it's impossible.

1. External Hard Drive- to avoid the stack of DVDs in my room. They're outgrowing me-- my height, that is.

2. Blu-Ray Drive- Hmn, this is expensive. Nah, it shall be on my list.

3. Another mobile phone- Am I quite demanding? Haha, I still need one for my SMART sim. ^_^

4. ... This will be updated later on.

Okay, let's go back to my wishlist last year to identify what happened really... ciao!

AKEMASHITE OMEDETOU GOZAIMASU MINNA!!

It Hurts!

I woke up because of the sound of a unique ringing tone among my contacts. Yes, I assigned a uniquely different tone for that someone. Anyway, I ignored it only to find myself sleeping again. I feel terrible. My whole body ached a lot.

I thought of what I did yesterday. If it is not because of the pool, I might have not felt this way. Oh yea, we played a lot during the time we were there. Maybe my body got exhausted for roaming around the wide pool for hours. So then, I concluded it that way.

The PC addict that I am, I can still move my hurting body to type stuff here. Haha. I can't miss another net opportunity. Classes are about to resume, so I better make the most of it.

Hell yeah!

Family Outing

Today, we had our outing at Calamba, Laguna in a resort somewhere there. The pool was lukewarm and nice, we had our best time there. We played tag and ice-ice water with our cousins. We also played BINGO, sung with the videoke machine, and ate grilled seafoods and lots more together. The entire facilities of the resort was ours to use, even the billards and the table tennis facility. My nephew Renz bought his toy tanks and we played it together with Derek. We really had a great time.

It was kinda tiring, but I enjoyed it of course. Later this afternoon, we went home already. I don't want to leave yet, but we had to go earlier because Auntie has to go to the hospital. Oh well, I wonder what they are doing right now.

A Not So Grand Reunion

Yesterday, my aunt and two cousins from Canada arrived here in the Philippines. And today, they visited us here. Tomorrow, we'll have the real GRAND reunion for the Blanco Family at Laguna.

The only ones who came here were the families of Uncle Romy's children, except for Ate Rhoda. Auntie Dora wasn't present too. I had a lot of fun playing with my pamangkins and they all enjoyed as well. Too bad I can't go out with them tonight as they go to Taytay, since we'll be seeing each other tomorrow again.

I hope tomorrow will be a sunny day for swimming and fun. :)

MMFF

Yesterday (yes, it was about 16 hours something ago), I woke up at around 8:40 am only to remember and to remind myself that I'm going out that day. 10 minutes after deciding to go to the other bathroom, he buzzed. I'm so late.

I received his IM roughly 30 minutes earlier before I woke up; luckily, 9:20 was quite an early time to leave before the mall opens.  I had a quick shower in cold water (I take a bath during the evening), and that surely woke me up.

We arrived before the mall opens at 10. Just approximately 5 minutes before it. After sometime, we met our movie companions and then the rest passed by quickly. We had watched "Ang Tanging Ina Niyong Lahat", "Iskul Bukol 20 Years After", and "Dayo". It was indeed fun.

And so, I write this post 7 hours after we got home. Man, it was quite tiring, but we still had time to talk and do the usual stuff, and that includes to watch TV and go out, etc.

He had just left. That's why I'm into my PC again. Haha.

There has been a new page added in my blog. It was entitled "Bangkok Pills". This title was inspired by the 'book' of drama anthologies (and other episodes) that JM had dreamed of and we've already discussed.

Bangkok, being the capital of Thailand, became part of the title. The stories/dreams to be talked about or written will be with Pchy as a main cast. Of course, he's the 'man of the moment'. When this passes by, or when I have a new foreign or not foreign squeeze, it will soon change. But then, I hope to add the previous episodes besides Kakurenbo. However, Bangkok Pills as the title won't have to work anymore.

I hope that the project would be started immediately. I think I won't have any chance to write it during Summer. It's because I might have the internship during that time...

Simply Addictive

Songs of the Japanese people had invaded my mind since the beginning of my otaku career. Everyday, it's sure for a Japanese song to play continuously in my mind. That is what we termed as a "virus" when we were in 5th grade. Back then, the term "LSS" or "Last Song Syndrome" hasn't been coined yet. And also, back then, we rely on Tape recordings or Cassette Tapes to be exact for our song needs. We record the TV songs of the anime series we loved to watch.

The simplemindedness we had was trivial to how we loved the Japanese culture. Oftentimes, like how the fan my friend JM was for TTK to the point of having dreams with them also happened to me when we were 10 years old. I told Kog and Jeanne Frances every single Weiss Kreuz crossover with Escaflowne dreams I had, and those dreams occur in episodes. My imagination ran wild during those times. As I recall, there was this weird dream about the Weiss Kreuz guys being chased by Merle of Escaflowne, and they were... selling deodorants. I could only laugh at the plots of my dreams. To us, they must be real. And they must be happening.

Singing anime songs had been a daily ritual for us back then. Whether it be a solo, duet, or trio we would sing our hearts while remembering the episode yesterday, chatting on it even through the telephone. Anime endings or finales would make our hearts cry our and of course, literally we cried. Sentimentality among us ruled as we reminisce the episodes, or even as we talked of our dreams about them. They seemed real in our own paradise.

Indeed, anime has brought us all of the happiness we could remember with our strong and close ties with each other. And through the years, we still remember what kinds of addicts we were. During our high school we were separated upon my transfer to another school. But we never forget. Oftentimes, our topic would still be the same on our phone calls and YM sessions. We never forgot about them. If an anime character we loved celebrates his or her birthday, we greet each other with that. They are all special to us. Hence, simply addictive would be the term. Over and over, these things fill our hearts with little joys.

We love anime. :)

Christmas Day at Star City

It was as early as 7 am when we left our house. Our destination was at Quezon City in my Ninang Nina's house. We were supposed to meet there and spend the rest of our Christmas day at Star City. After some talking and lunch, we left at exactly 11 AM for Star City.

We kinda got lost on our way there. We splitted ways, something like that. It turned out that the shortcut my dad took at Balintawak stuck us in traffic somewhere in Manila. Anyway, after some time, we arrived and bought our tickets and that.

Rides were of course the main thing we're in there, and the Snow World. Mikee and me are the only ones riding the rides since the adults don't feel like going for fear of nausea and the like. We had a lot of screaming and laughing together as we rode the Rollercoaster and the Surf Dance. The final ride, which got me a bit dizzy was the Flying Carpet. Overall, the rides got me a bit scared, especially the Surf Dance.

Then after eating, we proceeded at the long queue to the Snow World. The queue was so long, it came all throughout the vicinity of Star City. It took us an hour for the queue, but it was worth it. The said negative 15 degrees of coldness really got me. My ears and nose are so cold. Good thing the coat I was wearing was long enough to cover my fingers. I had my picture taken inside of it:

[caption id="attachment_404" align="aligncenter" width="482" caption="Ang LAMIG dito!"]Ang LAMIG dito![/caption]

And so, this ended my 2008 Christmas Escapade. It was fun, and I loved what happened the whole day. My energy was drained, but it's worth it. I can't stay late tonight because of tiredness... :)

Geki! Teikoku Kageki-dan

Sakura Taisen would be my Year-Ender anime. It's really a fond memory of my first year in high school. We used to roleplay Sakura Taisen without the costumes of course. My friends and I adored the characters and so we thought of ourselves as the main characters of the anime for a while. Although it didn't last that long compared to our Slam Dunk and Hunter X Hunter addiction, it was fun. I could still remember who we are back then: I play Shinguuji Sakura, Kog plays Iris Chateubriand, Zoren is Tachibana Maria, and Ruth is Kanzaki Sumire.

I really haven't watched the entire series back then because of school. It was so busy during high school and I don't have a stable internet access, knowledge of downloads, and my own PC back then.

So now that I have the resources, I decided that I should download the OVAs as well. Even the movie of course. As the year ends, I will continue the Sakura Taisen marathon. :)

Chicken and Chocolates

Quiz time!

Shana has melon bread, Plue has lollipop, and Sasuke has onigiri. What do they all have in common?

Answer 1: Food!

WRONG!

Answer 2: Things!

WRONG!

Answer 3: Favorite food!

CORRECT!!

And so that's what they all like. As for me, I took after L of Death note. I love chocolates. Add the chicken to differentiate my likes from L. Okay. There you have it.

I've been attached to chocolate since I don't know when. Oh come on, tell me you do not love chocolates and I'll definitely brand you as a liar. Okay, so you may not like it now, but surely you had. Fine! You may not have liked it at all!!

Chocolates come in different packages, mostly exquisitely packed. Attractive, perfect gifts and delicious, they make me feel happy whenever I'm depressed. Most of the chocolates I eat are the ones that are more bitter: the dark chocolate. For me, they are the best sort. Well, long ago it was the chocolate with wine that attracted me so much. Since I haven't tasted it in years, it has therefore changed.

Chicken is all I wanted for dinner. And for breakfast. And even for lunch. The best way to present a chicken cooked to me is to roast it. The marinade should not be very sweet. The balance between sweetness and saltiness should emanate. As of this moment, the best I've tasted so far when it comes to marinades are either of the following: Andok's, Savory, and Kenny Roger's.

When we're talking of Fried Chicken, it should always come with gravy. Number one gravy is now Mc Donald's for me, next would be the KFC gravy. The chicken breading's number one is Shakey's, followed by KFC, and by Mc Donald's.

Other ways for Chicken that are plausible for me: Tinola, Afritada, Curry and Barbecue. I do not like Chicken adobo that much.

Best part of the chicken? Long ago, it was the drumstick that I love. But now, it's the wings. They are the so yummy.

That would be all. I'm so smitten by these foods! Right now, I'm enjoying my all time fave, Meiji Black chocolate. ^_^

Enroll Na!

Hehe. Our imaginative minds really took us to wherever imagination should take us. Recently, in my profile, a lot of changes had occurred. There were additions which other people do not know of. Surprise, surprise! Only two people know about it. Guess who? Me of course, and one of my closest buddies JM.

All of these began when we were in High school. Before he transferred to RHS, JM was also a long-time PCCian like my bff C-chan. Anyway, we usually talk for hours in the phone when YM is not yet our forte and when we still have dial-ups as internet connection.

We talk until the sun comes down and until it almost rises again. That talk, we considered as a Radio Program. And so the Program at that time when we haven't idolized the "Tambalan" at Love Radio (Nichole and Chris) was just called by its Radio Station DZ Hilo (a pun for Dizzy and Hilo- both meaning the same).

Not long after that, we have imaginative talks and until the time I went to vacation in third year High school. JM was to transfer at RHS the next school year, and so I was hoping for a section change that time. I had several experiences that are so unforgettable during vacation of 2004, and I had of course some quality time to narrate everything to JM. He listened well, and surprisingly, he could tell some of the things there! And then, M.A.S.A. was born. Madam Auring's School of Astrology is the first school's name.

In line with that, Eddie Gil, a once presidentiable in our country caught our comical imaginative minds. We had him as our first "Pinoy Idol" and we heard from TV that he's going to have his movie with Madam Auring. JM, who is so fond of singing old songs and anything under the sun (that's why I called him my "Jukebox") decided to have another school where we are attending: the E.G.S.S. or Eddie Gil's School of Singing (or Singing School).

Several things happened between me and JM and it will be a longer story. Anyhow, our friendship came back to its solid state, stronger than ever. If before, we only talked of dreams related to TTK Max and others, now we had our interests jived together in making something. This something is simply Kakurenbo, our novel, that we made in order to fulfill the need of the writers within us.

Kakurenbo was just a spin-off of some dramas like Goong and Meteor Garden, and a mixture of parodies and spoofs we made. But generally, the plot and concept are originally ours. The characters were almost all actually living--the people who had made an impact in our mortal lives. Since High school, we've been writing stories on our own, his "Love is in the Air" and my fan fictions. Making Kakurenbo together really made us realize hard work and of course we had so much fun while we did it.

The rest of the schools and companies were created alongside Kakurenbo: first is M.I.P- Makati or the Maharlikang Institusyon ng Pilipinas. This is where the main characters in our story study. An imaginary school of elite and royal bloods. Next is B.I.S.A- Bitoy's International Spoof Academy. That's were our imaginative spoofs came about. Next is S.U.K.A.- Sharon's (Sharon Cuneta) Advertising (I forgot the other letters! :P). This is where we associate the advertisements we created and had caught our attention. Finally, the two broadcast companies were also created as part of the story. L.B.M. or the Liberty Broadcasting Media was the TV station of the antagonists in Kakurenbo, and U.T.I. or Universal Television Incorporated, the archenemy of L.B.M. which is supposedly appearing on the sequel of Kakurenbo.

Not long after Kakurenbo, I had crushes with same letters in their names. They were called by JM as the 3M. When ABC-5 reformatted and became TV-5, the idea of having another TV network in the "Kaharian" led to the creation of TV-3M, where all my crushes with the M's (3M) are supposed to be working.

Just recently, we had the Thai Invasion which led to the creation of two other schools, H.A.F.Y.A.W. and P.A.Y.A.T.. They were created because of the dreams we recently had-- about ourselves and the "gang" JM usually meets at my birthday (which includes Zoren, Roy "Banlag" and my boyfriend). Pchy came into my life and continued in JM's, so P.A.Y.A.T. stands for Pchy's Academy for Young Artists and Talents. H.A.F.Y.A.W. is related to all of us-- Hazel and Friends' Young Artists Workshop. Istarbuko, a spoof in Kakurenbo suddenly became my working place in one of JM's dreams (with Pipoy/Pchy's Filipino nickname).

As time passes by, I think there will be additional schools and companies. We're starting to wonder if we are the only ones attending them, with respective deans Madam Auring and Eddie Gil, and others...

So what are you all waiting for? Enroll na! :D

mIRC

Internet Relay Chat. That's what the IRC stand for. And the "M"? I don't really know. Was it massive or something? Duh.

Anyway, I had been searching for the un-scanlated Rave master manga chapters in volume 27-30 so I decided to use mIRC again. The scanlators have their own IRC channels at irchighway (most of them) and so I thought I could possibly find the missing chapters in mangafox.com.

Sadly, I didn't have them. I tried joining every manga channel there is, but none  can yield results with the use of @find. I got tired, so  I decided just to buy one, or to wait for the release at mangafox.

And also, let me tell you that when you block mIRC on the firewall, your minimum cps will be very low. The transfer speed from the other users will be very slow. But of course, unblock it when you're sure you're protected with an antivirus software that's reliable.

Hail to Ken Hidaka-- the precursor of my anime crushes, my first true love and forever will be my anime love. His brown eyes and hair had first attracted me when I was a 5th grader at Pasig Christian Academy.

From the moment I saw him on GMA 7, I knew it was love. I have fallen for an anime character madly for the first time, and thus I branded him as mine. Following that, the OKAY barkada came about-- Omi, Ken, Aya, Yohji-- but later on we decided to remove Yohji since he's not cute for us. The barkada became OKAV then-- Omi Tsukiyono of Weiss Kreuz, Ken Hidaka of Weiss Kreuz, Aya/Ran of Weiss Kreuz, Van Fanel of Escaflowne. Each letter corresponded to each member's "love" way back then.

Many anime crushes had followed Ken, but no one of them replaced him in the top spot. At some point, I almost rejected him. This was when the time Slam Dunk came to local Philippine Television. I fell for Rukawa Kaede's charm. He became the number one crush for 2 school years. Then Yoh Asakura came and replaced him. That was another 1 and a half year, because Uchiha Sasuke arrived. My world was shook. Sasuke-kun became the number one crush, and I therefore named him as the Ultimate Anime Crush. No other anime character removed him from the spot. Up to this point, 4 years standing, Sasuke-kun is still the anime crush.

I decided to keep Ken Hidaka, of course. He's so memorable. My addiction of him lasted for a good 2 years, but no one really replaced him as my one true love in anime.

Rave Master Mania: Anime of the Month 2

I guess I have just made Shakugan no Shana the anime of the month of December earlier this month. But now, I've downloaded Rave Master anime episodes 1-51 and it lingered my system. So I have to thank Evil-Empire and VN Manga for the Manga I downloaded from them. I had finished up to the 26th Volume, and since volume 27 is on its way to scanlation, I just decided that I will buy Volumes 27 to 35 as my gift to ME and to add up to my 2009 wishlist.

Rave's plot is not as simple as getting all the Holy Brings (Rave) and defeating evil. It has a wide range of themes. From friendship to romance, the story encompasses almost all the human emotions. It's a good read, and personally, I don't think it's a dull shonen anime. It's one of the best.

And so it's official. I'm getting the rest of Rave manga volumes that I haven't read. :)

What On Earth...?

Somehow, I'm liking this violet color. I've used this font color just lately. Oh well, that's not what I want to talk about right now.

Hazel-PC reborn is being kept somewhere in my parents' room now. It has been 2 days actually. I want to thank someone for coming yesterday which made me go out my room and stop the hikikomori mode. And of course, will I forget my new dog Shabutaro? He has made me happy, even for a bit.

Still, I haven't gotten over the loss of Etty-chan (Pretty). I sooo miss that dog. No matter what I do, I can't seem to love Shabutaro the way I loved Etty-chan. Grr. It pains me to think of that cute dog. I wonder where on earth Etty is.

The use of Mr-PC-Reborn (this desktop PC) takes so much of my time. It's still responding slowly. I wonder what sort of repair must be done to keep this optimized like my laptop.... or at least to attain half its speed.

I sooo hate what's going on in my life lately. :(

Shabutaro

Shabutaro. That's the peculiar name I gave our new dog even though he has his own name written in his "papers". The name is something I picked up from Rave Master (Groove Adventure Rave)'s 4th anime episode. Haru named Plue "Shabutaro" before he met Shiba and after he "fished" Plue from the sea.

Like Plue, our Shabutaro doesn't speak. He is weird-looking, being a part of the Pug family (huh?) and he doesn't even bark! He's so annoying sometimes because he's too playful. My stamina doesn't work well when I'm with Shabutaro. I wonder if he also likes sweets and lollipops.

His original name is Lassy. For me, it's so girlish. Lass=girl. And to name a male dog like that is something weird. So then, I decided to keep on calling him Shabutaro. And now, he's used to it. When I yell out "Shabutaro!", he looks my way. I'm glad it worked.

Ways to call it Quits

Quits:adjective- Owing or being owed nothing: even1, quit, square.

I bring ye news. This is not an old news coming from me, but today I duly make it something official. It seemed as if I'm Buddha-- an enlightened one. I've dreamed of the Four Noble Truths in my life earlier.

1. Life means suffering.

True to what has happening, each day in my life happens to be each day of suffering. Well, it doesn't look like it but deep inside of me, I'm tortured by something. I won't tell.

2. The origin of suffering is attachment.

Attachment. Yup, since I was attached, I can't go nuts with my single best pals and can't flirt with anyone hot and available on conventions and parties. It's really the attachment that binds me and my freedom literally and figuratively.

3. The cessation of suffering is attainable.

Finally, I've decided to remove someone so as to delete the cause of my suffering.

4. The path to the cessation of suffering.

And upon removing him in my life leads to loneliness of a bit and of course hurt feelings. Anyway, after all this, it will be a meaningful and wonderful life-- not something that came out all of a sudden and ruined my whole being.

Anyway, all of these Noble Truths were encompassed in my dream earlier. Not as directly stated like that, but of course in different situations. I extremely believe about my dreams telling me some important thing or decision to do. It's been proven a lot of times (you can see my older posts here as reference).

So after all the mumbo jumbo... I realized it's over.
And then I was thinking on ways how to say it in a proper way. And I couldn't. Thus, only the title of this post must be made sense.

Sad

A lot of things happened today. I want to forget the reason of my loneliness. Now I won’t be able to see my dog. Or rather other’s dog. It makes me a lot more dramatic. I never thought of what could possibly happen. And here it was, and there it went. Oh well. We really realize something’s worth once it’s gone. And it is possibly true for everything we have. Just like what happened and or happens to me. I can’t stop thinking of the matter now. I even had dreams about it. Maybe it’s just not for me. So everything went out of hand. Now I am with nothing left. It’s so empty. I feel something trembling within me. I should’ve appreciated things as they were before. Now it’s too late to repent on it. Well I did nothing wrong. Did I? It was just some lack of appreciation. I didn’t intend to lose every nice thing at the first place. Oh yeah. I didn’t want it to become related to me either. I just lost my mind that time. It seems like this post has a lot of confusion within. I sure guess no one bothers this anyway. Just like what I’ve done before. But all of it was a cover-up. Oh yes, I am duly affected. It’s never been this bad. But forgetting must be on its way too. And even though I try to think about it a hundred times, it has happened and it was over. That’s what I see, at least. And that’s how it appeared to me. Oblivion. It’s such a nice word with a nice ring on it. If everything will be settled with purely oblivion aka forget something… then it would be nice for everyone. I keep mentioning the word nice. It kinda reminds me of something or someone. Since this is a sort of mixed-up post, I don’t care about the layout and words I am using anymore. See, it’s useless to think of something you terminally wouldn’t want to think of. And since it’s all stupid, I could say I had been stupid. So stupid. This was meant to happen. It just waited a little longer. Soon enough things were obvious. And when that time comes, I don’t think I could just smile at it. Since I was left alone, I could care less. Or will I start bawling now?

Thai Invasion

It's not that I've changed my preferences. I only added a bit to it.

If you were one of the people who observed and have visited (of course) my profile, you might have noticed that my location now is Krung Thep, Bangkok, Thailand. My "hometown" is still Tokyo, Japan (in my dreams). This signifies my newest addiction, or what I termed now as the "Thai Invasion".

Several reasons became the impetus for the addition of Thai in my music and hot guys preference. First off is Pchy or Witwisit Hirayanwongkul of the August Band. He is, by far, the hottest guy actor and singer I've seen in Thai sector. Next would be the songs of August Band, starting with Pchy's songs of course. Finally, the beginning of everything, JM's persistence and continuous influence. Haha. I can't get through my hatred of Pchy's debut film (The Love of Siam, where his role is GAY) without him. Thanks, dude!

And because of that, I already had this research mania on Thai culture which includes the following: Music, Language, and Literature.

If this mania is seasonal like my Cantonese Pop addiction, we'll see about that.

I'm feeling restless. It's because up to now, I do not have any other information about the band Galla who sung Initial D Second Stage songs "Kimi ga Iru" and "Kiseki no Hana". The guys who sung that, aka the band itself Galla, has no link or whatsoever that I could find and grasp. Too bad, for when I watched the MV of "Kimi ga Iru" (in Initial D, the ending song), I found them cute (especially the lead singer). I resolved into getting mp3s, thanks to the ID collection several years ago... but still, I want to know about the band.

My resolve is that I'll ask some forums and the Yahoo! Answers. If answers will come out, I'm lucky. If not, I won't stop researching!

My inspiration in doing so is my recent ClubBox discovery of "Freedom!" mp3.

With hard work and enthusiasm, I could find out almost everything!

Haha. ^_^

Surprise, Surprise!

A lot of things occurred today, most which I do not expect once more.

First, I downloaded the song I longed to have since I was in Elementary. That is the song "Freedom!" by Han Gwan-Hee. This song is the Ending song for Restol: Special Rescue Squad, a Korean anime way back in 1999. It was aired around 2000 at ABC-5 (now TV 5) and I loved this song from the first time I heard it. When I had the chance, I'll occasionally search for its lyrics or the mp3 itself. Tough luck. For 4 years of searching, I only ended up with an instrumental--something that I got from a fansite as a temporary file. I thought it was the end back then-- I was 3rd year high school that time.

And finally, this time I used all I can with different parameters and unyeilding hope to finally have that song. So I found a ClubBox link, and then I hesitated at first. I failed signing-up for ClubBox 5 years ago. But through the help of a certain website, I followed the instruction and got my own account. And so, I downloaded not only "Freedom!" but also "Restol"-- the opening song. I'm so glad it happened!

And to celebrate it, I gladly post the mp3 of "Freedom" in my blog: (just the imeem link, I can't incorporate media here... I wonder why uploads in Fs are slow... bandwidth? no. of users?!)

Freedom!- Han Gwan-Hee

Oh yeah!

Shakugan no... SHANA-TAN!

It was a BLAST! Last night, rather, earlier this morning (1am to be exact) I watched the specials and the "movie" (let's wrap it into one: Omake) of Shakugan no Shana. The Omake is super funny! OMG! There's this Off-campus trip that made me go nuts!! Everyone's cranky side were present, even the villains. Hecate became a chibi too and she's so cute when saying "Uruchai" in a cold manner. And Shana-tan? Well, she's simply the cutest!

Cute tale between two protagonists who undoubtedly love each other. Oh well, to put it as simple as that is wrong. Shakugan no Shana involves too much of unknown fictitious terms and is quite hard to handle. Like for instance, you'll encounter words like "Mystes", "Flame Haze", "Interpreter of Condolence", "Corpse Collector" and others (the translations may vary too). You'll also see a lot of peculiar and idiosyncratic characters, each one hard to memorize because of the names they have. And the classification of characters end up to four categories (or more). In short, it is a complicated piece of work.

However, I don't care much about the complications since I enjoyed the part where it shows their high school lives. You know, stuff like "Suki" and that. That makes a slice of life kind of anime appear more realistic. In fact, even though it seems unrealistic, the fact that love is in the air of every anime makes it more "human". Here in Shakugan no Shana, elements of falling in love and defining what a kiss is are present. Looks like it's more like a teenage fluff show in that manner. But the fighting scenes and casting spells make it so like every other sort of magical anime.

Though I fail to introduce this anime in a better perspective (which is supposed to be clearer than this), I could say that this is somewhat good. 8/10 grade. Not bad. Just confusing.

What's Left Unsaid

*****

"...Love you," he muttered, and I thought it was redundant. How many times has he said this today?

I know, all I wanted to say was that. But I hesitated. I pretty much knew that he'll sort of demand for an answer, and if I joke, it would kinda hurt him. To simply put it to an end, I murmured softly:

"Love you too..."

*****

When I read Destiny at Work, I cannot forget the scene where Kaho and Touya talked about their lovers Eriol and Tomoyo-- and what Kaho's realization about her relationship with Eriol had become after three years:

She gasped quietly, her eyes fluttering closed in pain as the tears escaped. “Why can’t I remember the last time he said ‘I love you’ first?”

How come I don’t remember? Came the nagging thought in Touya’s head. His jaw clenched. Sure, Tomoyo said those three words many of times. On many occasions she said those eight letters before he did… Right?

These words from Kaho struck me. Yeah, it got me questioning myself as well. But in the manner that how many times I said it. The truth is, I'm not that honest about my feelings. I usually have this deadpan face or some sort of a wide and obviously stupid grin on my face whenever passion appears before me. Or someone I am with. I tend to take everything as a joke, for I believe that it is temporary as well. It all shall pass. Everything's just a phase.

Believe me, someone advised me to say the L word first, even just for once.

But it still remained as one of the words left unsaid. Which of course, added to the turbulent confusion within everyone I hold close.

Aw. This is so much disturbing.

I feel the same way too. Just read between the lines.

必然- Hitsuzen

"There is no such thing as coincidence in this world. There is only hitsuzen."

Yuuko's famous quote, seen in Tsubasa RC and in xxxHolic is quite a mystery to me. Well, the word hitsuzen was defined or rather translated literally as "inevitability".

I still can't grasp the meaning of the word. According to a blog also quoting from xxxHolic, "Hitsuzen means fate, something that is bound to happen. There are many meetings and events in this book that appear to happen for an unknown, mysterious purpose.".

Unknown, yet wonderful. I wonder what's yet to come...

Card Captor Sakura Addiction

It hasn't left me at all. Just last night, I scanned the whole fanfiction.net searching for worthwhile SS and ET pairing fluffs. And there I saw the wonderful story entitled "Destiny At Work", involving so much plot that could be so entangled you'll barely understand it. Anyway, the concept was one of the best so far that I've read (other than syaoran no hime's Shaman King fanfiction and some Slam Dunk fanfic I've read from before).

I can't wait for the next chapter as the scenes in the last one flooded my mind... it's as if I could see the exact scene that happened, how Syaoran returns home to Hong Kong and was being interrogated by his child-like sisters, how everything goes with Emeraude, how Kaho bade goodbye to Eriol, how the flashbacks were... but I am still confused at some parts (the break-up of Syaoran and Meiling, for instance).

Here's the link:

Destiny At Work

For SS fans, this one's kinda SM so you better watch out for some desperate Syaoran for Meiling scenes! :D
