Online Banking Part Two

I recently made this post about Online and Mobile Banking and also a post about Secured Credit Cards. I do not wish to edit it, but now I just want to add a new post about my new banks: RCBC and HSBC. I also opened a new account at BDO, and now I'm a certified online banking user of BDO too. :)

Anyway, I mentioned in this post that I applied for an RCBC Instacard. To my surprise, my credit card came as early as 5 working days! I even thought it would take longer because of the Araw ng Kagitingan holiday, but it didn't. I went on the same day to apply for RCBC Access One, to be able to check my TD account with them and just to try their online services. The teller who assisted me informed me that my card might arrive next week. As soon as I went back home in the afternoon, a guy from LBC came and gave me my card. The rest is history and I was able to use it right away.

Remember the functions of BPI Express Online? I'm beginning to love it and thank my company for sending my funds in BPI now. I could also enrol both my RCBC and HSBC Credit Card for payments anytime, anywhere. I am really confident to say that BPI is number one when it comes to online banking services. I applied for my RCBC Bankard payment the day I received my card. I filled out the online form, printed it and went to my branch in C. Raymundo. In 2 days, my card was included in the list of merchants I could pay. So as soon as I received my HSBC Gold Visa, I went straight to my BPI branch again and did the same thing. Soon, I can pay it with BPI too :)

I will tell the story on how I got an HSBC Gold Visa in a post next to this. Before that, let's proceed to the part 2 of my Online Banking discussion:

RCBC Bankard Main Site
For RCBC Bankard, you don't have to sign up for an online banking account. They have separate websites for their deposit accounts and credit cards. The photo above shows that in the RCBC Bankard site, you have many options as they offer many services. These include:

  • Shop Secure
  • Spend monitor
  • Enroll in e-SOA Via Email
  • View Statement Online
  • Pay Your Bankard Online
  • Update Your Account
  • Power Tools
All of these were discussed in my Bankard pamphlet, but I was too lazy to read it :P As of now, I haven't used any of these services as my Bankard hasn't received its first SOA yet. I called RCBC's hotline and they were fast and friendly, too. Their number is 888-1-888. Very easy to remember, right? I will update this post as soon as I used it. For the meantime, here is the access page for the SOA Online. It's so easy as you only have to enter your card number and your birthdate as the password.

RCBC View your SOA online pop-up window

This next photo is the Access One I enrolled via my branch. In this site, I must be able to open and see my Time Deposit account with them. Well, I also haven't tried this as I must wait for the processing-- usually 5 business days. As of now, my BDO who promised me 5 banking days for processing (5th day tomorrow), is now working. I could now use BDO online to check my Passbook Savings.

RCBC Access One login page

This is HSBC's online@hsbc. My first regular credit card. Their hotline is also easy to remember: 85-800. Only a few digits just like BPI's. Well they have a security device option which I think you could buy and also the password question. They have two sorts of passwords too. It's a bit tedious to go login with them.

As of now, it has the same functionalities I already used. The usual online banking site for credit cards of course have the account summary, unbilled transactions and the balances.

I still have a floating transaction with them, my Globe Postpaid Bill. It's not yet reflected on the website. I have to check it again.

online@hsbc login page with 2 secure options
Well, this would be all for now. Judging all the sites I have used, the number one is still BPI for its interface and functionality. By the way, Metrobank Direct almost updated to a new site last April 8, but it was short-lived. I was able to use it though, and it looks nice. I failed to get a screenshot though cos I thought it would last forever. To my surprise, several hours after its opening, the site went back to the original Metrobank Direct site. I was wondering why the system reverted, there was no infomail from Metrobank. But the difference was, the new site did not spam me with the log of my online transactions via e-mail. I wish they finish the upgrade soon.

My Blogging History

I am a personal blogger and I'm proud of it even though I don't get to have followers like those of a travel blogger or a beauty blogger. I haven't maintained a blog for too long except that of Friendster's before. I started out in 2005, but since none of my friends liked to share their activities online like I did, no one really read it. Until 2008 came and one of my closest high school buddies also began writing for his Friendster Blog. We kept a correspondence by writing our personal reactions in Testimonial form (it's Friendster's version of Facebook Wall/Timeline posts before). I was inspired by him to create a mix of everyday school life stories in English and Filipino, stating about my lost goals and failures while studying at UP Diliman. Later on, the blog talked about my private life and how it turned upside down.

A few years ago, Friendster closed down and  reformatted itself, deleting the Blogs, Profiles, Testimonials and all the social networking stuff in it. Good thing, I was able to download my blog posts and transformed it into two famous blog hosting sites, WordPress and Blogger. The new blogs with contents from my old Friendster blog were named differently, the WordPress one having a Japanese text title, and the Blogger one having the same name as my original Friendster blog. I didn't get to maintain it well and I deleted "WaterDrop", and so when I resumed writing out of whim, I started to make another blog in Blogger containing the old Friendster posts. Obviously, I cannot let go of my writing since 2005.

I got lazy due to several things going on in my household since I became a young mother. I continued studying from my one year leave of absence and while writing a lot of academic papers, I lost my interest in writing Anime Fanfiction, another hobby I had since late 1990's. I had lots of ideas when I was in high school, but now I could barely think of a plot or a line to write. I still kept my PC Journal through Microsoft Office OneNote and also a little blue notebook containing my random thoughts on a random day. I love writing so much I can't let go of it for a single moment. However, my love for writing has bounds especially when writing essays for school.

Right now, I want to continue writing by sharing some of the memorable things in my current life and not to dwell in the emotional past I had. I've had my share of failures and I'm not too proud of it, but it helped me become the stronger version of myself now. In this new blog, I will attempt to write positively at most times and share to you how I see the world.

Using Windows Live Writer Again

So recently I just finally moved my entire Wordpress and Friendster blogs into my Blogger account just because my friends use Blogger. By the way, the smiley faces on Blogger are actually kinda creepy-- they appear while typing and they’re inside a white box. When I started blogging again in Friendster, I was using this program from Windows, the Live Writer. Editing here is good and the layout would be nice (plus it has a spell check for English language).

I was rereading my blog. An awful lot of things were there and it was oh-so-awesome.  I could say I’ve lived ample years of happy, flirtatious, single, teenage life before I got married. The chronological notes of how happy and depressed I was during the formidable years of my teenage life were all written there. How glad I am that there is the export your blog option. I was able to treasure a lot of memories.

I write because I love writing and not to get some money or attention. I love writing because it’s a way where I can release my stress and ease the tension, or sometimes to share some exciting moments in my life. I hate it that I almost forgot doing this because of some circumstances during 2010, but now I’m back for good and I’m going to fill up my new blog home with lots of memories from this year 2011 till the next decade.

From my first blog post in 2005, I was able to publish hundreds of posts. All of them are meaningful. Some posts talk about the first time I went to the Garcia Residence at San Joaquin (later on would be my husband’s home), activities during my college life, my get-together with childhood friends (now my child’s ninongs and ninangs) and a lot more that would make me feel good about the past. I would like to share some other things like depressing, sad ones so I’m creating a new label called angst.

This would compile all of the posts I had from Live Journal, Friendster, Windows Live Spaces and Wordpress. Can’t wait to add them all up!

Saturday, January 23, 2010

Surprisingly, there was no January 2010 blog post on this longest running blog that I have. I found it quite inappropriate because I wanted to have all the months shown on the archive. So even though today’s the 23rd of February, thanks to Windows Live Writer, I was able to set the date for this post—thus the title.

Anyway, I’m already moving to Blogger. I already created this account before and now I think I will update it side by side with WordPress and FS (I was thinking if it would be redundant). My Multiply blog will contain separate posts as it has always been the more honest blog I ever created posts on. BlogSync helped me with the Blogger move. It’s such an easy app to use. :)

Since I forgot what I wanted to say, and I’m merely spending time while waiting for a student to come online, I’ll end tonight’s post right now (maybe later I would have something to talk about).

Math, Science, Beauty

It’s been a long, long time since my last blog post. And I am writing this afternoon for the sake of a new April post. As you can see, I am more active in writing during the first two months of the year and also during semestral breaks. Right now, I’m attending summer classes and because of it, I’m having a great time.

I think I have already said that I liked STS more than any subject that I’ve taken so far. It’s been enlightening, informative, and at the same time entertaining to me. Not that the speakers were simply funny, but they were among the best, or the best in their field of specialization. Most of our speakers or lecturers were college deans and department heads, or secretaries of great colleges in our university. They all have something interesting to share, and at times even though their topic is non-existent in a teenager’s life or not yet given much importance, it really gets us hooked into it.

For instance, the other day, the lecture was about Math and Beauty. Well, we can’t blame why almost everyone in our class dislikes the subject math. We’ve been either traumatized during high school or earlier in our college life (Math 17 and the Math series especially for CS and Eng’g students). But our lecturer proved that the existence of beauty is basically including math and also math is really beautiful. All nature could either have the Goldens: Golden Ratio, Rectangle, Triangle, or the hailed Fibonacci sequence. Da Vinci Code fans could totally relate to these. Polygons, like the hexagon, is also found in several natural sceneries. It is still debatable if God really is the ultimate mathematician since He created everything around us. Is math really created by a person or was it just discovered by someone? Still, I cannot confidently answer that question. What I am sure of is that Math is definitely everywhere and it could not be taken away by anything nor anyone.

Inspired by B

Okay, B, kung mabasa mo man to ay alam mo kung sino ka. Ba... hehe. Di ko na sasabihin, and if ever na magreact ka mas magiging obvious na guilty ka (Nyahaha!). Anyways, since kanina mo pa ko ginising sa mga banat mo ngayong gabi e nainspire rin akong dagdagan ang ever honest Multiply blog ko-- this one kasi has a few masking techniques and kulang nalang talaga na banggitin ko yung names ng mga guys involved dito sa posts ko (they are quite a lot). Bago ko tapusin tong blog post or rather bago ko icontinue, let me clear na yung inspiration ay GALING SA SINULAT NI B and not directly coming from B himself. Oh, hehe baka lagyan ng malisya to. I repeat, hindi ako nainspire dahil kay B as a person (but I'm not telling you all na hindi kainspire-inspire si B. Inspiring kaya ang mga storya ng Fness nya. Oops. I'm telling too much na). Anyways, pinahanga na nga nya ko sa sinulat nya (hands down na) and so I will write my utmost feelings and girly annoyance sentiments na nais kong ipahatid (kundi man directly e indirectly) sa isang taong inakala kong ayun na nga pero in the end, narealize kong wag na nga.

In layman's terms and not in my weird wordplays, I was disappointed. Not by that person, but by the way my reactions go with his actions. Mas malayo, right? Anyway, let me relay this para finally this won't bug me and make me sleep. I will also be posting this in my FS Blog for public discernment (yes, I know, wala talagang paki ang tao sa Multiply ko).
This started way back in February. Midmonth. Sometime before the LR3: BTF (again, let me quote that acronym from B). Let me just tell this in a shortcut manner kasi whenever I try to put this into clearer sentences and phrases, I feel this eerie feeling in my chest. I myself can't understand it. So to protect the two people involved, I won't be mentioning their names (I don't exactly know the other naman eh) nor mention anything that people related or knowing them will easily understand.

Here's how it goes: I was so blinded by someone's PREEMPTIVE DENIALS and so I believed it by about 78% already. Yes, I was so close to giving up everything, every single thing I hold since January of this year. I also planned to fully believe this someone, not until there was a mistake I DID: Guess what, I found out something I shouldn't have. Shouldn't have, meaning MUST NOT also. Shouldn't have because it PROBABLY WOULD and REALLY did make me feel something bad. Something is in the pit of my stomach. And it reacts very badly as time goes by... I managed not to be in the super intriga mode and let it be, because I still had this 78% remaining that time, which lowered to 69.

Days passed by and I was introduced to Facebook apps and the like. I loved it. I became part of almost everything in it. And so was Plurk, I became enslaved to it. So was that someone. And so I browsed timelines and the like. I didn't like what I read. I closed the lid. Okay. So that was something. Something I DID EXPECT, but not at the moment when everything seems smooth. So I tried to procrastinate from the devil me. But still, the bitch inside of me won't let go of it. I tried not minding it by removing it from my Plurk timeline. Didn't work for me. And so, it followed that the earlier incident makes sense. After some time, the timeline was gone. It was also gone in my system. I let it go. I forgot... BUT NOT FOR A LONG TIME.

Just recently, I ran across something in FB that I don't know why I did. Okay, that was malabo, pero I won't clarify to protect identities. Anyway, I was disgusted. My hunches and all the gut feelings made sense again. Ooh. A little of that word. Anyway, I looked it up, and alright I said to myself. This would be another blow. It obviously lowered to 20%. And after some SMS, it decreased more. -49%. Haha. That's interesting. I kinda suggested it anyway. But then denials came by. Flashback. There was also the preemptive one. And so it goes, it happened. What can I do? I was right, but of course it wasn't that sure and accurate. I checked all things and still I can't get away with it. The SMS thingies made my mind turn something like 360 degrees. I would want to forget it. But then, look at me now. I'm back as an insomniac.

The worst thing?

I am back, writing specific implied nonsense for those who do not understand and not related, and simply nothing to those who are not ME. Okay, so this is so confusing. I intentionally did that, and also quite unintentionally, because my mind is as obscure as my OUTPUT: This blogpost. I end this post saying, don't believe even the person that is supposed to be your confidante, and trust your feelings. With feelings, forget the lovey lovey part, and make sure it's the gut one. It works a lot, although it misleads more. Just be like Conan and assure yourself that "Shinjitsu wa itsumo hitotsu!": THERE IS ONLY ONE TRUTH!

Whether the truth is contrary to what I will hear from someone, I don't mind anymore. Still, I stick to my wrong beliefs and jumped at conclusions-- those without ACTUAL are by far more real to me, especially when they have IMPLIED evidences. Weird. Weird. Never mind.

Resurrection

Hala. Useless na nga pagiging online e. Well, for some na buhay sa pakikipagchat gaya ko nakakapanibago talaga ang pagbabago.

Kasalanan din ng Plurk kung bat kumonti ang posts ko sa blog kong to. Kakatuwa rin pala yon, nung una sobrang complex tapos when you get used to it okay naman pala. Haha. Sige dun muna ko…

Sorry, FS blog. Maiiwanan muna kita. :)

CHU!

Addicted to posting at this blog. Am I forgetting some notebook I used to get excited of filling the pages with my very own thoughts and handwriting?

True enough, it’s easier to write here (or rather type) using my laptop. I could occasionally search for some things and chat with someone and also type my thoughts here. My post numbers skyrocketed because of Windows Live Writer being incorporated with my 3 blog accounts: Windows Live Spaces, Friendster Blogs and LiveJournal.

I’ve already reached the I-didn’t-thought-of 200th post earlier. Dang, in 4 years, I could not believe all I was able to write was 200 and to think that there are multiple posts in one day. Hmn. I had this period in time back then that I didn’t use the PC—was that the great depression or the DSL blues period or maybe the grand dial-up problem or better yet the PC slow-down?

Whatever terms I called it, it simply states that I could live without the PC. Oooh. Maybe that’s why I had posts in my blue book slash notebooks. Now I get it. And finally I understood the relation. Haha. So bakaish.

Trulalu Ba Ito?

You Are Unique and Inspired
name.gif
You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out.
Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia.
Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.
You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.
You have the classic "Type A" personality.

You are incredibly wise and perceptive. You have a lot of life experience.
You are a natural peacemaker, and you are especially good at helping others get along.
But keeping the peace in your own life is not easy. You see things very differently, and it's hard to get you to budge.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.
You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.
At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow.
You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily.
Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.
You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.
You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.

Blogthings...

rose.jpg

You take a while to fall in love with someone. Trust takes time.

You tend to take more than give in relationships.

You tend to get very attached when you're with someone. You want to see your love all the time.

You love your partner unconditionally and don't try to make them change.

You stay in love for a long time, even if you aren't loved back. When you fall, you fall hard.

How Are You In Love?

Organization, Reorganization

Yehey!

Sige mamaya nalang muna at me babasahin pa akong isang importanteng bagay. Na siyempre, babasahin. :D

Happy Birthday… Birthday.

Right. Today is his birthday, and it’s pertaining to: boyfriend, YKW, YKH, Honey, Hani, ANPM, Chorva, Garci, Jose, JS, ****** (haha concealed!), and so on… whatever me and my friends call him or me alone. Anyway, that’s too trivial, so let me just dedicate this post to him—since, yea, it’s his birthday. 20th birthday to be exact.

I know this is a bit awkward to post since I haven’t mentioned him regularly on common all-about-life posts yet I’m always with him for the longest time—breaking records on YMs, telephone conversations and of course the grand “Longest stay in our house award” (I grant this to visitors who exceed the records- previous winner was JM, or was it Roy?).

So what about him now?

Hmn. Let me just talk about some things I know about him right now:

1. He studies Japanese Language- scary. I never thought he’d do that. I was always the one interested in that stuff… until now. He’s somewhat the next-level freak that I am when it comes to Japan.

2. He’s 20- no longer a teen, haha. I wonder what else can he do because he’s older. Dang, I wish I am 21 already. *chuckles*

3. He’s into PC games- not that this fact has changed for three years?

4. Recently, he had this “wisdom tooth”- ooh, sounds interesting, but it appears that he’s soo in pain because of that. Yeah right, I even saw it. Haha.

5. He’s an alien- did he just admit that some time ago? He lives in Habitopia—somewhere in another galaxy, in an island called Habilandia (am I right?). Sure thing, that’s make-believe.

6. He is weirder than me- that’s in some special cases. These include: food choices and mixes and other stuff.

7. He’s watching Discovery Channel and National Geographic- that’s most of the time, since he takes the remote control from me and switches to that when I should be watching Rukawa on Slam Dunk! (gah!)

8. He imposes- there have been lots of his requests or should I say rules about some things. Hmn, I won’t mention them.

9. …and so on.

(Actually, I’m planning to make these 20, but I couldn’t remember a lot today. :D)

Haha, great. Just great. ;)

Thinking

Can’t seem to place another good title for this post. I’ve been writing nonstop today here (well, there are stops). I have a goal of completing at least 200 posts till the New Year’s but then I didn’t quite make it. Anyway, I might fail on tomorrows 131 exam. I have no idea why I don’t seem to be interested in studying right now. Was I thinking of something else that I want to do so it hindered my studying mode? Or did I really lack the motivation to pursue my studies?

Honestly up to now I don’t know yet if I wanted Public Administration as my final course in life. I always wanted to pursue a writing career or something in the broadcast communication, or maybe the best I could think that I madly like is about computers. But unfortunately for me I wasn’t accepted because of the sad marks and red ones I had in my first two years. It’s my entire fault anyway.

I know that I want to be someone proficient in the Japanese language because of my anime fanaticism. I became an otaku at an early age, and from the time I wanted to sing anime songs all day and the time that I wanna read and understand its lyrics, I have built the interest within me.

Too bad I can’t pursue some studies of it since it doesn’t seem important to my incoming career as a public servant of the Philippine people. Haha.

Multiply— the best blog, in terms of features

I have been using FS blog since May of 2005. And as of now, I have had a lot of posts which I do not certainly want to leave. Multiply made me import posts from other blogs of mine. Too bad that it cannot import from here.

So I decided that finally, I’ll have three official blogs. The LJ (Live Journal) one, this FS blog, and lastly the Windows Live Spaces. Multiply posts will remain as it is (as well as the merged ones) and it will only serve as storage. The three I’ve mentioned will be the updated ones.

The thing about Multiply is its interface. It’s so user- friendly and because of that, there would be less problems in uploads and the like. It’s so easy to use and to view. Plus, there seems to be a few traffic. There’s also the spell checker, and it makes my life easy again.

I will not say anything anymore since I’m writing this at a FS blog. Oh well, this then ends my post for tonight.

By the way, thanks to Windows Live Writer for having me use its software in order to write efficiently for my FS blog. It’s not that easy to setup (although I had problems when it comes to using Multiply here—meaning that’s its only fault by far besides unable to import FS posts). Thanks again for the wonderful app, Windows!

There has been a new page added in my blog. It was entitled "Bangkok Pills". This title was inspired by the 'book' of drama anthologies (and other episodes) that JM had dreamed of and we've already discussed.

Bangkok, being the capital of Thailand, became part of the title. The stories/dreams to be talked about or written will be with Pchy as a main cast. Of course, he's the 'man of the moment'. When this passes by, or when I have a new foreign or not foreign squeeze, it will soon change. But then, I hope to add the previous episodes besides Kakurenbo. However, Bangkok Pills as the title won't have to work anymore.

I hope that the project would be started immediately. I think I won't have any chance to write it during Summer. It's because I might have the internship during that time...

The Emotions Are Getting To Me...

[caption id="attachment_191" align="alignnone" width="200" caption="Kakkoii"]
Hanyaaan...

It all began when I read yet another sad, sad, blog entry and some sort of conversation in a YM with one guyfriend. I don't really understand why I always "conduct" the sad feelings of a person far from me. Dang.

Anyway, thanks to Zhang Jun Ning and I'm so alive today. Tee-hee.

So there. Another day has come. Ah, boring start.
Anyway, I woke up 1 PM today and what surprised me was an invite from that person I promised to forget. The other day, I was just telling someone not to say something to remind me of that person. And so my post will tell the details on how this person came to me again lately...
It started while I was viewing some of my friends in FS's profiles. As I scrolled down on a certain person's comments, I saw that person's comment on this certain person's profile [getting confused? Okay. "certain person" and "that person" are two different guys wink.png]. I could see that they still get to talk with each other. And that instance reminded me and flooded me with thoughts of that person. I shuddered.
That person is someone I wanted to forget. Why all of a sudden, these memories flooded by?
The night was over, and today came. I opened YM as soon as I woke up. I left the PC. Then after returning in an hour, there was this add to messenger list request.
I felt ecstatic (not that quite) and then...
I don't know how to react on this properly.

I Love Multiply!

When it comes to posting a new message, a new picture, and an announcement, Multiply really does the best job over Friendster. Its user-friendly interface allows anyone to do stuff easier than usual. I really recommend to you guys to have a Multiply account where you can upload your pics. Its drag-and-drop feature makes it easy--you only have to open the window where your files are (the pictures) and then select those you want and leave those you hate. Then drag them altogether in the window at your browser. Click the button and start uploading. In an instant, they are there!

So then no need to select and that from a window about to pop-out. It causes hanging in your browser. With Multiply, you'll never experience that. It's really as simple as that.

In blogging, Multiply has also an edge. There, you can easily apply certain fonts and colors. Well, it has an almost same interface with Friendster, but this one has a more choices in fonts. You can personalize it more precisely than what you can do here at FS.

With this, I'm not telling you to switch friend networks. I'm just stating my reasons and pointing out facts.
