SM Aura Premier + Clinique All About Eyes Rich

Last Friday, we went to the opening of SM Aura Premier at BGC. The traffic this mall opening created was intense! Pedestrians came crossing from SM Aura to Market! Market! because the transport terminal is located there. Cars have to be stuck in "stop" mode even though it's a green light because of the crossing people. This was around 12 noon and we really had a hard time figuring out how to park inside the mall's parking so we decided just to park on the open parking area and just walk to the mall under the heat of the sun.

And so, I decided to buy an eye cream. I really have lots of fine lines under my eyes now! :( It used to be only 2 obvious lines, but now it grew to 4-5 lines. I feel that I should start my anti-aging regimen as early as now. I don't want to have lots of wrinkles when I turn 30, so if I can prevent it from populating my face I'd do it now.

I decided to visit the Clinique store in SM Aura. It's nice and white :D The staff were so accommodating as there were no customers lol. I bought this item called All About Eyes Rich. According to Clinique's official site (and I quote):

I read about this item from GT, and actually, I just checked out the Clinique store out of whim, cos it looked nice :) They accept credit cards and it's good. As one of the first customers who bought an item above 1,500 Pesos, they gave me a loot bag as a freebie-- with three items on it. I don't really liked the freebies.

Here are my eye lines. As you can see (in mirror image), this is my left eye with lots of wrinkles already. The other photo is my right eye. I also have dark circles around my eyes. Let's see if there will be improvements (I'll be updating this post in weeks).

"Post-Pregnancy Beautification Plan"

I've been meaning to list this as Wishlist Part 2 for 2013 (the mid-year one). I have so many things I want to regain after my pregnancy. I'm still hoping this would be my last (unless I wanted to have a baby girl badly or some accident happens again--which, I would be more careful now haha). But as most women mentioned in the forum about childbirth, almost everyone wants to become beautiful again after giving birth (let's admit it, we don't really become blooming as we carry a child for 10 months!). Therefore I drafted my PPBP or my Post-Pregnancy Beautification Plan. I have a list of things to buy in order for me to achieve this. As early as now, I've been saving up lots of money for my grand plan.

1. Medela Freestyle Breastpump- I want to breastfeed my baby for as long as 2 years if possible. I started looking for breastfeeding support groups. I heard this breastpump is really great--it's portable and convenient for working mommies (I plan to work sometime in late 2013). This is actually a great buy for me. They say breastfeeding will make a woman who gave birth lose weight easily ;)
   
   
2. Belly Bandit B.F.F.- The binder is said to have been used by people from long ago already. I watched a Taiwanese drama and also saw the binder worn by a woman who just gave birth. Recently, I saw testimonials in forums that this kind of thing actually works! They even metioned they had a better waistline compared to their "before pregnancy" sizes. I'm excited to use this because I did not use any on my first baby.
   
   
3. Trilastin Body Contour System 2- I've always eyed this product and it always had great reviews. They usually have sales and promos up to 40% off so I would be waiting for the next one and grab onto it. US celebrities have been known to have used this. I hope this also improves my previous stretchmarks from my single days :D. I'm expecting much from this product that no other treatment would give the same effect.
   
   
4. More MUD Products- I would definitely get the black eye pencil and more of their blush colors. I don't think I'm ready to put on eyeshadow yet (okay, maybe just 3 colors first) because I'm quite uncomfortable with it. I'm also getting additional brushes for the lips and probably some of MUD's Lipsticks/Glosses.
   
5. Dance Classes, Yoga or Gym- I was once a member of an all-women gym in Serendra called Curves. That was my first time to pay for my own gym membership after my mother-in-law gave me a free 3-month membership at Slimmers World. I once attended Belly dance classes at MDS or Movement Dance Studio at Unionbank Plaza. I had fun and my "attire" is still with me (probably waiting for me to go back to the dance floor? haha). I will choose whatever's more easy or accessible for me. :D
   
6. New haircut- I'm planning to go back to Mr. Shin or to Mr. YS (both Korean hairdressers) because my locks love their scissors lol. They are the best I've ever tried and also Louis Phillip Kee (I went to his salon at The Fort). When I got my haircuts from them, I got compliments. I am not sure if I could also have the hair color or the perm with my plan to breastfeed (most likely not) so I think I would wait 2 years before I have those again. Let's just see :)
   
7. Laser hair removal- Uh, I think they wouldn't really do a procedure with breastfeeding moms :( I still have a 2-year unlimited LHR for my underarms at Skin Station Timog. I wonder what I should do about it. :/

So far, I've already saved for the pump. The rest would be saved for later. I am now looking to this situation more positively as I now plan on what to do in the near future.

Personal Beauty Make-up Class @ MUD

This is an overdue post about my class last Saturday at Make-up Designory Manila aka MUD and I really had fun meeting girls with zero experience in make-up. Our instructor is Ms. Myr Lim, and she has a blog. She's already posting photos of her students from last year's class :) I hope she posts our class' photo soon too.

Anyway, aside from being professional, Ms. Myr is also a fun teacher. Our class wasn't boring to think it was about 7 hours from 10AM until 6PM (with a lunch break around 1 till 2). The whole class covered a lot of things, starting from Eyebrows to Falsies. We had discussed how to analyze our skintone for the perfect blend of foundation so that it would make this "glow" in our face. MUD cream foundations are really nice. My tone is GY1 (it's the 4th level of darkness lol) as I am a morena.

Here is my "notes" with random captions all over the paper haha. This is actually the schedule of the class. There are other handouts given to us in another set of papers.

So here is another set of the haul I got from Purbeauty :) I think it cost me around 3800 pesos. I bought the Beauty Blender beforehand. It's now my favorite sponge. I let go of the wedge sponges I bought just because I think this is enough.

My newfound love. :D This cost 2500 something, but if you only buy the sponge online with Purbeauty's promo, you can get it for only 900 pesos! :D The Beauty Blender creates an airbrush-like effect on your foundation.

Taupe colored eye pencil-- this is cream based and you can use it with the brush for the eyebrows too. Also good as eyeliner of course.

There is one item missing and that's the MUD Primer. I'm getting it tomorrow. :) I want it because if I use the Neutrogena moisturizer, the foundation doesn't seem right. And yes, what complements MUD products are MUD too. :D

I didn't have a before and after look, but here is my Day Makeup photo :D I used a green eyeshadow and some red violet lippie (it's an MUD brand, I did not bring any make-up for this class). I think green best compliments my pink floral dress for the day :) I did get compliments from my husband and yes, that's enough for me :D he said I looked better than my previous makeup class for mineral makeup. Oh, I now love cream-based cosmetics haha!

Oh, I didn't have the night makeup-- aka the smokey look. It was actually what my husband saw because he picked me up after my class. I had falsies also with that look and he didn't like me wearing falsies when he realized the falsies were about to be removed lol. But yeah, as mentioned earlier, it is his comment that matters the most. :D

Haul for my MUD Class

Happy New Year! I just came home from Hong Kong and Shenzhen for our family trip. It did go well, but with PAL's delay on our flight back, it wasn't as good as my previous travels abroad. This was my 2nd time in Hong Kong and my first time in China. 2012 has been really good to me and my travels.

I have a draft post in my mobile phone I was composing from Hong Kong, but I wasn't able to upload it. I'll probably write a travel post later. I'm loving 2013 so far!!

As mentioned before, I have this Beauty List I have to accomplish for my makeup class tomorrow. I bought everything in one day via Purebeauty Serendra, Market! Market! Department Store and SM Department Store. I must say, SM really lives up to its tag "We've Got It All For You". Everything I needed was there. I bought some items at MUD because I thought we wouldn't go to SM anymore. I will also get a 15% off the MUD items I picked up due to my class.

All in all, I spent around 16,400+ pesos for my makeup class-- all beauty hauls including the makeup kit, fee for MUD's class, and other stuff. This doesn't include the makeup itself YET. I'm reserving another 6,000 pesos for it haha. My hubby said, I should continue this "hobby" of makeup cos I already spent a lot. :)) It's more expensive than my 30-session Japanese Module 4 class at UP Diliman starting this month. I hope I do enjoy makeup soon. I usually start something but not finish it. :P

Freebie from Sigma- Eyeliner brush

I also got my JAC Plus shipment #2 from US which was delayed by a week. This is my first ever Sigma Brush. The set's name is Mrs. Bunny and it's a vegan brush-- no animals involved. I'm not vegan, but I personally like the colors pink and blue, that's why I got it. It cost about 4,899+ pesos (120 USD something, without shipping fee within US). JAC's shipping and handling fee is the same as usual, around 802 pesos. My package was about 2 lbs just like the previous one.

2013 Wish List!

It has been so long since I wrote about a WISH LIST. If you browse the archives of this blog, I think that was 2007 or so when I first started writing posts about a yearly wish list. It mostly contains superficial things I liked when I was younger (oh, this is mostly material stuff). For example, during that time I was addicted to burning DVDs, I wished for a DVD-RW drive. I also wished for more Korean Drama DVDs as I was also addicted to watching it on my younger days. My wish list past 2009 became more expensive as I started working to earn my own money. I wished for mobile phones and other things that I do not want my parents to purchase for me and I'll buy with my own money.

Anyway, allow me to state this coming year's wish list, which includes lots of "kikay stuff" for a change (for the better, I guess?). Part of next year's New Year's resolution is to become pretty even though I'm having a baby boy (oh yes, I already told myself and convinced myself it's another boy this time).

So, let's start:

1. Curling Iron- this probably was in previous years' wish list, and was fulfilled when I bought a 2-inch curler from an online seller in Sulit a few years back-- but IT WAS TOO BIG for my own good. Plus, I don't have an idea on how to use it. So what I did was to sell it to another person (who probably liked the lower price I gave so I could just dispose it). Now I want to have that Vidal Sassoon brand (VS) I saw in Market! Market! Department store worth 2,800 PHP. Or if I found a cheaper and better alternative in Hong Kong, I'd get it sooner. :)

2. Brush Set- I'm initially thinking of getting a MAC or Bobbi Brown as it had several uber nice reviews online (and on forums) so if it really is cheaper to buy that 12-piece set for personal use in Hong Kong, I'd buy it. If not, I'm thinking of an alternative like Suesh or Sigma, which are probably also available on Hong Kong. Online, the price in PHP if I'll buy it in Multiply is 2,300 PHP (the Suesh one). Not bad.

3. Make up and accessories- Oh yes, it's true. I don't have much makeup in my "kikay kit" except for a BB Cream (Missha), and my MAC Lovelorn Lipstick. I totally threw away all other glosses as I realized I don't have to keep much in the zipped container since I only use one color for all occasions. Oh, I also have that face powder from Max Factor and also another mascara from Max Factor. I had to buy it when I started curling my eyelashes like crazy~ I had this eyelash curling craze since 2011. I did it twice with Let's Face It and Browhaus (super expensive with Browhaus). I liked it, except that on my second try, I had to lose some lashes (chemicals gone wild, I guess). I actually was thinking of getting extensions again like before (I got one sticky lash weaving from Mikaela Bilbao at The Fort before). But yes, I'm preggers and I don't know if it would be fine. So for this number, I will buy all accessories required on my "Beauty list" for my Make up class at MUD Manila.
