Mommy's First Day Off + Posh Nails Sparty/Bridal Shower

So today, after 2 weeks of totally staying at home (oops, I went out with hubby yesterday for a Pizza date for 2 hours only) I got a day off today for about 5 hours. And yes, I was able to test my pump's mobility by pumping and storing it in my cooler bag. It's so great. The Medela Freestyle really lives up to its standard.

My younger sister-in-law (SIL) is getting married on Monday and my eldest sister-in-law decided to throw a surprise party for her-- together with the groom. We went to Posh Nails McKinley Hill and everything was prepared for a "Sparty". They rented the whole place for 3 hours today. We had lots of exciting activities in store with my SIL's best friends participation, too.

The theme is Blue and Yellow (their wedding's motif) and the place is cozy and nice. The surprise party did not turn out to be as surprising to the bride anymore. She saw our car on the parking lot, but what surprised her is her besties appearance.

I had what they call Posh Spoiling: (from Posh Nails Services website). We can avail any service up to 600++ Pesos.

For people who have a little more time to treat their hands and feet to a little piece of heaven.

Personal Beauty Make-up Class @ MUD

This is an overdue post about my class last Saturday at Make-up Designory Manila aka MUD and I really had fun meeting girls with zero experience in make-up. Our instructor is Ms. Myr Lim, and she has a blog. She's already posting photos of her students from last year's class :) I hope she posts our class' photo soon too.

Anyway, aside from being professional, Ms. Myr is also a fun teacher. Our class wasn't boring to think it was about 7 hours from 10AM until 6PM (with a lunch break around 1 till 2). The whole class covered a lot of things, starting from Eyebrows to Falsies. We had discussed how to analyze our skintone for the perfect blend of foundation so that it would make this "glow" in our face. MUD cream foundations are really nice. My tone is GY1 (it's the 4th level of darkness lol) as I am a morena.

Here is my "notes" with random captions all over the paper haha. This is actually the schedule of the class. There are other handouts given to us in another set of papers.

So here is another set of the haul I got from Purbeauty :) I think it cost me around 3800 pesos. I bought the Beauty Blender beforehand. It's now my favorite sponge. I let go of the wedge sponges I bought just because I think this is enough.

My newfound love. :D This cost 2500 something, but if you only buy the sponge online with Purbeauty's promo, you can get it for only 900 pesos! :D The Beauty Blender creates an airbrush-like effect on your foundation.

Taupe colored eye pencil-- this is cream based and you can use it with the brush for the eyebrows too. Also good as eyeliner of course.

There is one item missing and that's the MUD Primer. I'm getting it tomorrow. :) I want it because if I use the Neutrogena moisturizer, the foundation doesn't seem right. And yes, what complements MUD products are MUD too. :D

I didn't have a before and after look, but here is my Day Makeup photo :D I used a green eyeshadow and some red violet lippie (it's an MUD brand, I did not bring any make-up for this class). I think green best compliments my pink floral dress for the day :) I did get compliments from my husband and yes, that's enough for me :D he said I looked better than my previous makeup class for mineral makeup. Oh, I now love cream-based cosmetics haha!

Oh, I didn't have the night makeup-- aka the smokey look. It was actually what my husband saw because he picked me up after my class. I had falsies also with that look and he didn't like me wearing falsies when he realized the falsies were about to be removed lol. But yeah, as mentioned earlier, it is his comment that matters the most. :D

Missing Out

Okay, so normally I won't rant about missing church... but what my cousin has told me made me do it.

Earlier, they asked me if I would come, and I said I'll pass this Sunday since I'm still worn out by last time's happenings. They left and then my cousin texted me: ate, sayang, hinahanap ka ni Chinito kanina. tingin nang tingin sa sasakyan nyo. sayang talaga.

I laughed at it. Siguro isa lang to sa pakana nila para magsimba na talaga ako palagi. Yes, I admit that I am secretly stalking this church guy--he's been in my blog posts since last year (about twice). He has a well built, good stance, nice spiky hair, chinese eyes, fair white complexion and glasses that lure me. He wears dressed-to-kill whenever I see him on church. Although he's not a regular church goer, I spot him out of the many. He gained my attaction that is besoughted by many. Okay. So I made a reality check. The kid won't lie to me.

They arrived at around 1 in the afternoon and my cousin excitedly narrated what she saw that had happened. I countered her statements with baka naman iba yung tinitingnan nya, baka naman yung matatanda ang gusto nya, baka ibang sasakyan yun, baka hindi talaga ako yung hinahanap nya, baka di naman talaga siya naghihintay.. and so on. But what made me think is the statement she said and I quote, Pinaguusapan kasi nung lalaki at ni Chinito kung bakit di pa bumababa ikaw, e wala ka naman don. Tsaka tutok na tutok yung mata sa sasakyan. Binasa pa nga yung UP car sticker nyo e.

Again, if thtat was for the exaggeration, I don't care. But then when she added that Lingon nang lingon sa amin, I said na baka ikaw yung gusto. Then she countered itwith sa kotse nakalingon nung wala na ako eh. I thought of it. She added this much to my disappointment, Ang gara pa ng suot nya this sunday. Akalain mong nakaporma talaga.

Oh well. Whatever it was, I missed out on Chinito. Next Sunday, I'll really come. Of course I want to go to church rin naman. It's just that I won't waste my stamina on Saturday so I could go early to church. :) Let's see kung tama si Crystal.

Diamond Peeling Bonding

Today, the 15th of March, I experienced something new… in my face!

Just yesterday, my BFF asked me if I’m free today. So I answered yes, and asked why. Then he replied that he’ll be treating me to a Derm Clinic for Diamond Peeling. I had second thoughts on going (o yes, I had!), but then with his say, I finally agreed. Oh yea. And I had to undergo the process just earlier this afternoon. Here’s how I went through it:

1. First was the Facial Steaming, accompanied by chikas and that.

2. Next was the massage, with some cream on it.

3. Then here’s the painful part, wherein the blackheads, pimples, and other elements were… extracted from my face. I bled.

4. After some tears, the aesthetician was sorta bothered by my bushy eyebrows, so she took the liberty of “arranging” them for me.

5. After that, I had my face rubbed by another cream, and sponged too.

6. This one’s my favorite part: the Seaweed Cream. Here’s how I looked like:

 

God, I looked like a yuurei here! :P

 

7. After some drying time, me and my dude C had this photo op together (sorry I have to post this! We look brilliant anyway! :D)

Oh yes, that’s us in our yuurei looks. Scary, ne?

8. Finally, the cream was removed with warm water and sponge, then followed by cold water to lock the pores back.

9. And voila! I had my face cleaned… and pricked! XD

Like my friend John said, “Beauty is Pain”. But then again, I didn’t came for beauty. Just the pain. :P Just kidding, this has been a pleasant experience and bonding time for us anyway. :)

Next month, I think I’ll be going back again.

Fun-Loving

Earlier today, it was decided that I was allowed to go on a movie date. It was supposedly at the Rizal Park in our plans, but then it backfired since we came out from my house late. Going to rakuens and that needed to be early in the morning. Anyway, we just had our breakfast at Rob and decided to spend an hour and a half playing different new games at Time zone. Right after that, we had to go to the movies and watch Confessions of a Shopaholic and have a good time.

After that, we decided to go for the next film which will be shown at 4:20 in the afternoon. So we decided to go for some dessert—BTIC (Yogurt ice cream) and then Ribbon fries, before we ate our merienda—Burger King burgers and fries. Valkyrie is the next film and it was another good 1 hour and 50 minutes. Then it’s time to go home.

Later in the evening, after watching Imbestigador, we had to watch the film which took our attention at AotS (Attack of the Show, a G4TV show), Office Space. And we just finished it. Wooh. Talking about being a movie buff. It really is fun. :)

Mishaps and Crappy Net Connection

I woke up this late only to know my net connection was “accidentally” pulled out—the power source, that is. Hysterically, I pulled it back again, hoping for a fine connection. I was wrong. Certainly, there was something that triggered for a slow net and I won’t bother knowing what it is.

I just continued reading from a weblog site and it made my mood happier. Oh, really happier. From last night or should I include afternoon, we’ve been in a marathon of Whispering Corridors (movies 1-3) only to stop at the third film since I find it so creepy already. The movie showed women’s relationship somewhat in a yuri or shoujo-ai manner. Kind of creepy though.

Going back to my subject, my net still doesn’t work as it should be. Even with my mail, it can’t load. Friendster, Answers.com… duh. It’s a dull net. :( I’d just go to Adult Land… (credits to FOP episode “Love at First Height”). It so does not reek there. It’s a kidless adult paradise. :D

New Month, New Hair

Okay, so earlier we went to church and after that I had my “curled” (quote and unquote that) hair cut and repaired (what? :D).

So here’s the result (although I didn’t like to post it here, but just as a proof)

I have nothing else to say but since today’s the first of February (my favorite month for the second sem) I just wanna tell ya’ll that I’m so excited for Friday the 13th. YAAAY!! Twice this year and this early! Wahoo!

Hope I can attend UP Fair. Dang, it’s my third year but still I failed to attend concerts and the like that happens in the university. Oooh… I really, really wanna attend now (this year).

BLUEtooth

BLUE ang kulay ng buton nya sa gilid ng laptop ko. Kaso malaki ang problema kapag gusto ko siyang gamitin. Oo, nagkukulay asul nga yung buton, pero yung driver sa PC ko di naman mabasa. Unknown device daw, hmp. Kakainis. Kahit makailang uninstall ako e automatic naman siyang nag rere-install. Hmp ulit. Sobra na to. Kala ko pag maaayos este mapapagawa sa Acer ito ok na. Nareformat na ko’t lahat, wala parin. Hopeless na to.

Kanina, kagagaling ko lang sa Kaharian ng Kadiliman, este sa UP Diliman. Nilibot namin ng konti yon, ala tour bus. Sinariwa namin ulit ang mga building kung saan ako nag-aral noon… at kung saan ibinagsak ko ang mga subject ko don. Siyempre, makakalimutan ko ba naman yon? Lalo na yung building ng kahirapang mag-enroll—sa Melchor Hall. Hehe. Hanggang ngayon, hirap parin sila pagdating ng June, November o April. Haha. Bahala nga yang mga Eng’g people na yan.

Naalala ko lang yung me kinalaman sa isa kong post sa personal diary (little blue book) at sa isang post ko dito na me kinalaman sa spaghetti… napanaginipan ko yung taong yon at ang spaghetti long time ago. Aba’t nagkatotoo nga. Yun nga lang, di siya yung nagluluto (kumpara sa panaginip ko) pero at least nakain ko parin yung spaghetti both sa panaginip at sa katotohanan recently. Hehe. Astig. Thanks, MASA! Ang lupit ng Dream courses natin… special thanks to Dean Madame Auring for your teachings… and not teaching. Whatever. Si JM parin ang top notch student. :)

Sundays

Ilang beses ko man wag isiping siya lang ang dahilan ng pagpunta ko e hindi ko mapigilan. Alam kong hindi naman talaga siya e. Siyempre, nakagawian ko na rin ang Sunday 9:30 Service sa simbahan at me religious side din naman ako. Kaya lang talaga, gaya nga ng sinabi ko, naiisip ko siya palagi. Pampanira ba ng solemnity ng Linggo ko ang pagkawala o presensya nya? Kasi naman yung taong yon, lulubog-lilitaw. Kulay palitaw. Ang puti niya kasi. Hehe.

Nung isang linggo, pinagtalunan pa namin ni mama kung siya nga yung lalaking nasa me front pew. Tas sabi ko, hindi, kasi medyo kayumanggi yung guy at di spiky yung buhok. Tapos ipinilit niya. Inobserbahan ko pa. Hindi talaga, kasi yung frame ng salamin (glasses) nung guy e makapal (sa katitingin ko ba naman dun sa original edi ko pa makabisa yung kaliit-liitang detalyeng yon!). Haha. Natawa nalang ako nung nalaman kong tama nga ako. Kabisado ko talaga ang looks nya.

Anyway, sana bukas nandon din siya kasi medyo naaapektuhan ng pagpapakita nya ang mood ko. Haha. Happy. :D
