I must say i was skeptical of http://www.cocoa-b.com/ initially because of the strangest additions you can add to your chocolate.

I know strawberry bits in white chocolate is heavenly (my favourite when in Australia), but BACON bits in white chocolate? Or how about ikan bilis and garlic granulas? Sounds like char kway tiao already!

You CAN match normal toppings like fruits and nuts with your chocolate. However, as with all things, i decide to wing it and try the most exotic of the exotic toppings.

I was pleasantly surprised.

Or maybe i'm a closet chocolatier.

I carefully select a combination of the exotic with spices.

DARK CHOCOLATE CHILLI CHICKEN FLOSS

This was inspired by Breadtalk's floss bun which we all love. I didn't think it could go wrong.

The floss don't quite stick to the chocolate, but the chilli dark chocolate combination was a good one. I tasted a hint of sea salt too but i can't be sure. Maybe Cocoa B do screen our recipes just to ensure we don't go horrendous wrong. A little magical dust of a missing ingredient to make us feel like the most inventive chocolatier with award winning creations.


WHITE CHOCOLATE ROSEMARY BACON BITS WITH HEART SPRINKLES

This was clearly inspired when i need lunch. Imagining a slow cooked tender pork leg with rosemary, heart sprinkles thrown in just because.

I don't think bacon bits have much of a flavour to begin with (like in casear salads), but it provides a crunchy bite. It also adds an oily film to your lips. The rosemary was fragrant, it was quite an adventurous choice.


WOLFBERRY LOTUS SEED MILK CHOCOLATE


The healthier choice chocolate is inspired by the soups that my mum makes. I will never chew on wolfberries because it weirds me out. I usually collect them floating in the soup and swallow them whole. They're so small i hope my stomach juices can digest them without effort.

Maybe adding it into chocolate would make the child eat her wolfberries. And i did! The roasted lotus seed is just like a hazelnut. Very similiar to the regular chocolate bar filled with fruits and nuts, but you know its not. It's EXOTIC.

BATA, no more old skool.

I remember growing up with BATA school shoes. Little did i know that Bata is actually ang moh! A Czech Republic label, Bata is a brand with long standing history and quality. Founded in 1894, it went through World War 1 and was coined Shoe Maker of the World. P.S I Love You, the leaked sex video.

Some weeks ago, i heard through the grapevine that Holly Jean has her sex tape leaked online by a revengeful ex. Without seeing the video, i felt sorry for her and was worried enough to call up a friend who's a lawyer. After consulting him, i passed on the advice of how she could file for an injunction to prevent the video from being leaked.

5 Excuses Men Give

Here's the brutal truth. SINGAPOREANS ARE IGNORANT ABOUT SEX.

Despite Singapore ranked the bottom two on the global index for having the least sex, it is not an excuse to be ranked the highest in unsafe sex.

We resemble the ostrich. We burry our heads in sand and tell ourselves "it won't happen to us." Little did we know, the ostrich do not actually burry its head in sand when faced with danger and we shouldn't be resisting protection before its too late.

I would have been one of those, until i witnessed myself 4 friends who had shotgun marriages of which 1 failed and 1 on the verge of failing. The worst was the one (not included in the 4) where they had unprotected BREAK-UP sex and the girl fell pregnant and the guy wanted nothing to do with it. She went on to become a single mum.

If only she used a condom, because it was a non committal thrust. 

Then, there was the other time i saw a woman walking out of the Action for Aids clinic wailing and thumping the chest of the man with her. She was hysterical and the man looked guilty.

If only she used a condom, because for $30 extra, prostitutes will do it the bare-back way.

There was also the friend who felt responsible for his pregnant girlfriend, stressed for the whole of 10 months. Then, she told him in the labour room that the baby wasn't his.

If only he had used a condom, he wouldn't have a mental break-down.

The Durex Global Wellbeing 2012 revealed that Singaporean students are 20 times less likely than global standards to use a condom at first time. Subsequently, 2 in 5 Singaporeans will not use condoms regularly.

What i found more interesting was the Durex 2011 survey that found Singaporean men to have an average of 16 sex partners, the same number as Hong Kong and the highest in Asia. Singaporean women have an average of 6 sex partners, up from 3 previously. We are also the second highest number in Asia, just behind the Japanese.

So we are really having alot of sex, just not wanting children, contrary to popular belief that Singaporeans aren't having enough sex. Some 19% of Singaporean women admitted that they were unfaithful to their spouses, placing local women among the top five most unfaithful in the world.

Malaysian men appear to have the lowest average number of sex partners at just 3. Gay men have the highest average number of sex partners at 108 and lesbian women have an average number of 11 sex partners.

This means that the person you're having sex with have had unprotected sex with many others before you. Dollar notes have the most bacteria because it passed through many hands.

Yes, IT CAN HAPPEN TO US, especially when some STD(s) are not detectable on the surface. HIV and STD are more prevalent amongst heterosexual couples than homosexuals because we are ignorant not using condoms and we tell ourselves "it won't happen to me".

While two young virgins don't have to worry about diseases, an inexperienced boy may still make you pregnant with his pre-cum!

There's really TOO MUCH worry not using a condom.

Parents can't be ostriches too. Their youths will have and are having sex. One can only teach if not abstinence then teach how to put on a condom.



In case you are shy about getting a dildo to practice on, use a dog's tail!

As a woman, i can understand how we are easily weakened by men's pleas and wriggles to get out of a condom, pun intended. I hope reading the excuses below helps you identify and better armed with an answer AND a condom when it happens.

Win a pair of Crocs!

When i was young, my taste buds taught me that "something healthy is never yummy". Today, my taste buds have accustomed to healthier eating and i can eat salads without dressing.

Unfortunately, its not the same with fashion. If it's ugly, no matter what, my taste will not become accustomed to it and i'll not wear it. However, there are people who swear comfort over style! Thus the relentless evil jokes over Crocs and Crocs fans.

Fortunately, Crocs took the jabs seriously. Like the social outcast in school who became a hottie overnight, Crocs underwent a make-over some 5 (?) seasons ago.

And i, became an advocate.

The first pair that bought me over was the hot pink wedges. Admittedly, style factor wasn't the most unique but i was already pretty surprised with the decent design. It is my default pair for traveling, it is water-proof, i've never found another pair of heels that gives such comfort, walking and standing for more than 12 hours.

Then, my second pair was a hit and miss. I thought the Boat Shoe scored high on style factor, however the leather was so hard that it never did soften. Their work shoe range was also the same. 

I'm not giving up yet though, because i'm convinced that Crocs is indeed comfortable. However, most females pride vanity over comfort. Although increasingly, i keep telling myself to put comfort over vanity.

With Crocs Fall/Holiday season, it seems like they've some designs that score both on style AND comfort!

I ACTUALLY enjoyed going through the site, it was simple to play, the models were pretty, it loaded quickly AND ok, i admit i chose the UGLIEST Crocs options and i was pretty impressed with the fashion styling that went with it. The Crocs that on its own look hideous like  the Cobbler clog

ACTUALLY looks very nice when paired with skinny jeans! See model below in, 4th picture from the left.

Never would i expect this super molded weave boot can also be part of party fashion. See model in first box from right.
