So today, after 2 weeks of totally staying at home (oops, I went out with hubby yesterday for a Pizza date for 2 hours only) I got a day off today for about 5 hours. And yes, I was able to test my pump's mobility by pumping and storing it in my cooler bag. It's so great. The Medela Freestyle really lives up to its standard.

My younger sister-in-law (SIL) is getting married on Monday and my eldest sister-in-law decided to throw a surprise party for her-- together with the groom. We went to Posh Nails McKinley Hill and everything was prepared for a "Sparty". They rented the whole place for 3 hours today. We had lots of exciting activities in store with my SIL's best friends participation, too.

The theme is Blue and Yellow (their wedding's motif) and the place is cozy and nice. The surprise party did not turn out to be as surprising to the bride anymore. She saw our car on the parking lot, but what surprised her is her besties appearance.

I had what they call Posh Spoiling: (from Posh Nails Services website). We can avail any service up to 600++ Pesos.
For people who have a little more time to treat their hands and feet to a little piece of heaven.
  • HANDS
  •  - soak, spa, scrub, manicure or pedicure, massage (10 min.)
  • FEET
  •  - soak, spa, scrub, manicure or pedicure, massage (10 min.)
We all had a great time today. My hubby got the other service for Foot spa :)
My SIL's hubby, the Groom, the Bride, my BIL and my MIL (mother-in-law) having their ManiPedi sessions.

My nails! :D Pink and I'm loving them

Last Friday, we went to the opening of SM Aura Premier at BGC. The traffic this mall opening created was intense! Pedestrians came crossing from SM Aura to Market! Market! because the transport terminal is located there. Cars have to be stuck in "stop" mode even though it's a green light because of the crossing people. This was around 12 noon and we really had a hard time figuring out how to park inside the mall's parking so we decided just to park on the open parking area and just walk to the mall under the heat of the sun.

And so, I decided to buy an eye cream. I really have lots of fine lines under my eyes now! :( It used to be only 2 obvious lines, but now it grew to 4-5 lines. I feel that I should start my anti-aging regimen as early as now. I don't want to have lots of wrinkles when I turn 30, so if I can prevent it from populating my face I'd do it now.

I decided to visit the Clinique store in SM Aura. It's nice and white :D The staff were so accommodating as there were no customers lol. I bought this item called All About Eyes Rich. According to Clinique's official site (and I quote):
  • Skin Types: All
Moisture-rich eye cream diminishes the look of undereye circles, shadows, fine lines-instantly and over time. De-puffs, calms with botanicals. Helps boost natural collagen production. Strengthens skin's moisture barrier against common irritants. Ophthalmologist Tested.
I read about this item from GT, and actually, I just checked out the Clinique store out of whim, cos it looked nice :) They accept credit cards and it's good. As one of the first customers who bought an item above 1,500 Pesos, they gave me a loot bag as a freebie-- with three items on it. I don't really liked the freebies.

the item: All About Eyes Rich

Box

Freebie bag for purchases 1500 and up

Freebie again: small pouch bag

Testers:
Here are my eye lines. As you can see (in mirror image), this is my left eye with lots of wrinkles already. The other photo is my right eye. I also have dark circles around my eyes. Let's see if there will be improvements (I'll be updating this post in weeks).

Post Pregnancy Beautification Plan Updates

As based on this post, I had already laid out my plans of getting back into shape and also improving myself more. Just to update, I already bought the following:

Pump- as also mentioned on this post, I got the exact item I wanted: the Medela Freestyle :)

Binder- I read in this blog that this is the most recommended one, and three of my prego friends also bought it. It's the Squeem, and here are some of the photos of my purchase:

MUD products, makeup stuff- I recently bought the YG3 shade refill. Sad to say, my skin color changed drastically to lighter one (oops, I might be happier with that, right?) that I have to change my foundation. The problem is, I BOUGHT A LARGE GY1 FOUNDATION!! Eep. I don't think I would be able to use it anymore :( Anyway, I bought a pencil liner from Etude and also a Wet n' Wild lengthening mascara as my emergency one when I forgot to bring my Maybelline Volume something mascara for my graduation last April 26.

Trilastin- As warned by my co-prego, this doesn't work so I won't be buying it anymore. I might just go back to Slimmers for my Stretchies treatment.

Dance classes/Gym- I decided to try Circuit 360 at Ortigas, and then might inquire at Gold's Gym Robinsons for personal training.

Laser Hair Removal- Will start this as soon as I give birth! And then will subsequently get whitening treatments from Derma Pro.

I've been meaning to list this as Wishlist Part 2 for 2013 (the mid-year one). I have so many things I want to regain after my pregnancy. I'm still hoping this would be my last (unless I wanted to have a baby girl badly or some accident happens again--which, I would be more careful now haha). But as most women mentioned in the forum about childbirth, almost everyone wants to become beautiful again after giving birth (let's admit it, we don't really become blooming as we carry a child for 10 months!). Therefore I drafted my PPBP or my Post-Pregnancy Beautification Plan. I have a list of things to buy in order for me to achieve this. As early as now, I've been saving up lots of money for my grand plan.

  1. Medela Freestyle Breastpump- I want to breastfeed my baby for as long as 2 years if possible. I started looking for breastfeeding support groups. I heard this breastpump is really great--it's portable and convenient for working mommies (I plan to work sometime in late 2013). This is actually a great buy for me. They say breastfeeding will make a woman who gave birth lose weight easily ;)

  2. Belly Bandit B.F.F.- The binder is said to have been used by people from long ago already. I watched a Taiwanese drama and also saw the binder worn by a woman who just gave birth. Recently, I saw testimonials in forums that this kind of thing actually works! They even metioned they had a better waistline compared to their "before pregnancy" sizes. I'm excited to use this because I did not use any on my first baby.

  3. Trilastin Body Contour System 2- I've always eyed this product and it always had great reviews. They usually have sales and promos up to 40% off so I would be waiting for the next one and grab onto it. US celebrities have been known to have used this. I hope this also improves my previous stretchmarks from my single days :D. I'm expecting much from this product that no other treatment would give the same effect.

  4. More MUD Products- I would definitely get the black eye pencil and more of their blush colors. I don't think I'm ready to put on eyeshadow yet (okay, maybe just 3 colors first) because I'm quite uncomfortable with it. I'm also getting additional brushes for the lips and probably some of MUD's Lipsticks/Glosses.
  5. Dance Classes, Yoga or Gym- I was once a member of an all-women gym in Serendra called Curves. That was my first time to pay for my own gym membership after my mother-in-law gave me a free 3-month membership at Slimmers World. I once attended Belly dance classes at MDS or Movement Dance Studio at Unionbank Plaza. I had fun and my "attire" is still with me (probably waiting for me to go back to the dance floor? haha). I will choose whatever's more easy or accessible for me. :D
  6. New haircut- I'm planning to go back to Mr. Shin or to Mr. YS (both Korean hairdressers) because my locks love their scissors lol. They are the best I've ever tried and also Louis Phillip Kee (I went to his salon at The Fort). When I got my haircuts from them, I got compliments. I am not sure if I could also have the hair color or the perm with my plan to breastfeed (most likely not) so I think I would wait 2 years before I have those again. Let's just see :)
  7. Laser hair removal- Uh, I think they wouldn't really do a procedure with breastfeeding moms :( I still have a 2-year unlimited LHR for my underarms at Skin Station Timog. I wonder what I should do about it. :/
So far, I've already saved for the pump. The rest would be saved for later. I am now looking to this situation more positively as I now plan on what to do in the near future.

This is an overdue post about my class last Saturday at Make-up Designory Manila aka MUD and I really had fun meeting girls with zero experience in make-up. Our instructor is Ms. Myr Lim, and she has a blog. She's already posting photos of her students from last year's class :) I hope she posts our class' photo soon too.

Anyway, aside from being professional, Ms. Myr is also a fun teacher. Our class wasn't boring to think it was about 7 hours from 10AM until 6PM (with a lunch break around 1 till 2). The whole class covered a lot of things, starting from Eyebrows to Falsies. We had discussed how to analyze our skintone for the perfect blend of foundation so that it would make this "glow" in our face. MUD cream foundations are really nice. My tone is GY1 (it's the 4th level of darkness lol) as I am a morena.

Here is my "notes" with random captions all over the paper haha. This is actually the schedule of the class. There are other handouts given to us in another set of papers.
So here is another set of the haul I got from Purbeauty :) I think it cost me around 3800 pesos. I bought the Beauty Blender beforehand. It's now my favorite sponge. I let go of the wedge sponges I bought just because I think this is enough.

My newfound love. :D This cost 2500 something, but if you only buy the sponge online with Purbeauty's promo, you can get it for only 900 pesos! :D The Beauty Blender creates an airbrush-like effect on your foundation.
Red corrector #3

Red corrector #3 for my pimples and pimple marks

What complements GY1 is the Desert loose powder. This is to set the foundation.

GY1 inside :D

This suits my skin. It makes me have this pretty olive tone

Cover of the GY1 cream foundation

Taupe colored eye pencil-- this is cream based and you can use it with the brush for the eyebrows too. Also good as eyeliner of course.
Blue corrector #3

Blue Corrector #3 for my eyebags :D
There is one item missing and that's the MUD Primer. I'm getting it tomorrow. :) I want it because if I use the Neutrogena moisturizer, the foundation doesn't seem right. And yes, what complements MUD products are MUD too. :D

I didn't have a before and after look, but here is my Day Makeup photo :D I used a green eyeshadow and some red violet lippie (it's an MUD brand, I did not bring any make-up for this class). I think green best compliments my pink floral dress for the day :) I did get compliments from my husband and yes, that's enough for me :D he said I looked better than my previous makeup class for mineral makeup. Oh, I now love cream-based cosmetics haha!

Oh, I didn't have the night makeup-- aka the smokey look. It was actually what my husband saw because he picked me up after my class. I had falsies also with that look and he didn't like me wearing falsies when he realized the falsies were about to be removed lol. But yeah, as mentioned earlier, it is his comment that matters the most. :D

Happy New Year! I just came home from Hong Kong and Shenzhen for our family trip. It did go well, but with PAL's delay on our flight back, it wasn't as good as my previous travels abroad. This was my 2nd time in Hong Kong and my first time in China. 2012 has been really good to me and my travels.

I have a draft post in my mobile phone I was composing from Hong Kong, but I wasn't able to upload it. I'll probably write a travel post later. I'm loving 2013 so far!!

As mentioned before, I have this Beauty List I have to accomplish for my makeup class tomorrow. I bought everything in one day via Purebeauty Serendra, Market! Market! Department Store and SM Department Store. I must say, SM really lives up to its tag "We've Got It All For You". Everything I needed was there. I bought some items at MUD because I thought we wouldn't go to SM anymore. I will also get a 15% off the MUD items I picked up due to my class.

All in all, I spent around 16,400+ pesos for my makeup class-- all beauty hauls including the makeup kit, fee for MUD's class, and other stuff. This doesn't include the makeup itself YET. I'm reserving another 6,000 pesos for it haha. My hubby said, I should continue this "hobby" of makeup cos I already spent a lot. :)) It's more expensive than my 30-session Japanese Module 4 class at UP Diliman starting this month. I hope I do enjoy makeup soon. I usually start something but not finish it. :P

Something from SM Dept. Store and Market! Market! Dept. store
Freebie from Sigma- Eyeliner brush
I also got my JAC Plus shipment #2 from US which was delayed by a week. This is my first ever Sigma Brush. The set's name is Mrs. Bunny and it's a vegan brush-- no animals involved. I'm not vegan, but I personally like the colors pink and blue, that's why I got it. It cost about 4,899+ pesos (120 USD something, without shipping fee within US). JAC's shipping and handling fee is the same as usual, around 802 pesos. My package was about 2 lbs just like the previous one.

Instruction card

This is the case. Pale blue bordering to grey

Essential Kit contains 12 brushes. It's so soft! I won't remove it from the plastic yet!

I'm done with it! :D

4300+ worth of haul from Purebeauty, Serendra. Left it there cos I'll go there tomorrow anyway

Before I talk about my Belo experience, I want to share my experiences with skincare throughout the years (before I wanted to spend this much, actually).

My Dermatological Background and History

I have been to dozens of dermatological clinics since my Elementary school days. My parents would constantly consult with a dermatologist regarding my Atopic Dermatitis, sometimes commonly called "Skin Asthma". I've toured several doctors in The Medical City and have about 5 doctors give me different creams and telling me to use Physiogel Cream and Dove without scent, only for my condition to go back everytime the weather is changing. So, I just quit treating my skin problems and focused on my face.

When I started high school, I did not get breakouts right away. It actually started when I was 3rd year in high school. I always slept late when I already had an internet connection-- one which was a dial-up and reloadable (I was a college freshman when we had a DSL Line coming from a dial-up connection for almost 3 years). So I would patiently wait for my anime music downloads to finish before I could sleep. Thus, the breakouts.

And so, again, with the help of our Medocare healthcard I was able to consult with Dermatologists around The Medical City together with my Atopic Dermatitis and my facial problems. Normally, the health card would not cover the "aesthetic" consultations like that, but the doctors were kind enough to include it with my skin problems. So for my face, I used several gels to dry up my emerging pimples, toners for my oily skin, and a special soap for my sensitive skin. All formulated by the different Dermatologists I've visited for several years and all meds for skin. My father diligently paid for it and took me to follow-up check-ups. He would often tell me that once, when he was a teenager, he had to battle with pimples and he had no money before so he ended up with craters on his face. He said that he wouldn't want me to experience the same, and as his only daughter he would do his best to keep my skin okay. I am so happy with the support he gave me (though my mom thinks it was too much since I was in high school during that time).

So, my face was as clear as it was until I went to college. It was so much stress with the academics stuff and I have to return to The Medical City again for the same things. Although, during that time I haven't tried doing the facial treatments.

C and Diamond Peels at Stella Maris

If you refer to this post I made on March 2009, my very good friend Carlos treated me to his favorite derma clinic in Stella Maris, Pasig City. That was actually my FIRST experience for a full-blown facial with treatment. It was his treat and of course, I enjoyed it. I never thought pricking would be that hurtful for me to cry. Although I did not buy the follow-up meds nor came back for a treatment, I thought it was an instant boost to my facial features. (Thanks again, C, for introducing it to me).

Getting Pregnant and Breakouts

On my 19th year of existence in this world, I became pregnant. The first few weeks of pregnancy were bliss-- I had this sort of glow where I didn't have pimples and my skin looks so bright. But, came January 2010 when I started growing pimples on my face one by one. The bad news is, when I went to my usual Dermatologists at TMC, they wouldn't give me the usual meds. Of course, there would be effects to my baby so I only was stuck using the "lower dose" gels. I wouldn't get the usual antibacterial medicine for my large breakouts. During the last few months of my pregnancy, I really had large pimples and scars like there was no tomorrow. I got depressed and I felt so ugly.

After I gave birth and I was over the breastfeeding, my father died also and so I was stripped of healthcard privileges. I also started using over-the-counter creams like Pond's and Olay. I had to try the Pond's Day and Night cream, but it made my breakouts worse. Olay did the same and so I had to worry more. I came back to school with a not-so-clear face though I boosted my image with a new Digiperm from Beauty Brick and Mr. Shin. For my skin, I simply used St. Ive's Apricot Scrub to at least brighten my skin somehow (and exfoliate it). I even tried using the nose packs and buying other supermarket items.

Going on Facials and Lots of Derma Clinics After Pregnancy

I became more conscious with my looks especially after I got married. Of course, I'd like to keep the interest of my husband with me. So here is a chronicle of all clinics I've been to and a little review of each one (if I remember of course, this was from 2 years ago).

  1. Dermalite- Stella Maris Maybunga, Pasig- as mentioned in a 2009 post, this was the first derma clinic I've tried in my life. After giving birth, it was also the first clinic I run to for my bad breakouts. I had to buy a promo for their Diamond Peel and come back every two weeks. However, I had a problem with their pricking. I got more scars than I wanted, and so they advised me or rather gave me a chemical peel-- Glycolic peel to be exact. When I had that treatment, unfortunately I withdrew my half of the treatments and never came back to their clinic as there were no improvements with my face. :(

  2. Slimmers World- SM Megamall- I was a regular gym member on Slimmers World around late 2010 until early 2011. I worked out together with my husband around 5 months after I gave birth. I had to try their free Diamond Peel. It was fast, without cleaning and all so I did not enjoy it. Although as of 2012, my sister-in-law gave me the rest of her treatments as she was too busy to go at SM Megamall. As of now I haven't claimed my 5 treatments care of Ate Lulu.

  3. Imperial Dermatology, Ortigas Ave.- I checked several forums like PinoyExchange and GT as I was in search of an affordable clinic near my area. After so many reviews I saw online, I gotta try the Spanish Peel of Dr. Mike Chua. What I loved about this clinic is his checkup first and also the discount (as I'm a GirlTalk member). I treated my husband to several visits and Power Peels too. I liked the fact that I could use my credit card for transactions. His meds are also cheaper than the TMC doctors. He also does the pricking and the treatment himself so you can assure yourself that it would not be horrible as regular unexperienced aestheticians would. However, due to the difficult parking at Ortigas, I had to quit going when my skin went A-OK.

  4. Let's Face It- Robinsons Galleria- I was desperate for a facial treatment late 2011 and then I suddenly had the urge to buy a Diamond Peel promo. Unfortunately, I only claimed 2 sessions out of the 3 sessions I already paid. I wasn't happy with the treatment when I changed aestheticians. I also had scars which were not removed before the next treatment. And yes, I did not come back for the 3rd treatment I availed.

  5. SkinStation- Timog Ave., Quezon City- This was the longest and the most number of pesos spent in a clinic. I bought lots of packages here: 6 Diamond Peel plus Hyal C Whitening treatment sessions, 5 Underarm laser hair removal sessions, 6 Underarm whitening treatment sessions, and only recently, 2 years unlimited Underarm laser hair removal (which, I won't be able to use cos I'm currently preggers). My mom also bought lots of treatments and products here. She also had her warts removal done. My husband had massages and facials too. In short, we spent an awful lot of time here. To date, my mom has still 1 Diamond Peel plus Hyal C Whitening facial left. We weren't really solved with the treatments, but still their service is really good.

Finally, the Belo Experience...

Belo Medical Group RX by Dr. Carlo Lozada.
Prescription for a preggy woman like me.
Plain Cleansing and Powerpeel only, to be done 2 times a week
Plus two products TOG (Tincture of Green) Soap
and Pore Minimizer.
I have been always looking at the Belo SM Megamall branch. I was always curious how it would feel to experience their more expensive services. And so as I was, again, browsing the forum GT, I read lots of raves especially with the aesthetician Naz. I had my first appointment last October. My doctor was Dr. Carlo Lozada, and I googled him and he was mentioned to have handsome looks (oh yes, it was indeed true) and nice personality. I of course filled out the patient form before the check-up (the check-up fee is waived when you avail of the treatments, but it is a mandatory step). So after assessing my face and read a short interview, he prescribed what pregnant women could only have. The plain cleansing and Powerpeel.

My first aesthetician was Yna, she was also nice however I had several bleeding scars as soon as I got out of the clinic (and I never had the cream before leaving compared to the next visit). During my October visit, there was a Powerpeel promo. Price drop from 2800 to 2016 pesos. I enjoyed the discount only once cos when I came back for my November visit (I couldn't do the prescribed every two weeks cos I don't have much moolah) the price came back to the original one. But, I was able to snag a schedule with Naz-- the sought after aesthetician at SM Megamall Atrium branch. She was really chatty and I felt comfortable instantly. She had extracted lotsa things from my face and I did not have bleeding. Her process was really comfy and she did not hurt me as much as others did. It was the best visit ever (so far).

My face was really (and literally) glowing after the treatment. All the dead skins are gone as I see it. If only I had more money to spare, I would really follow the twice weekly thing. The Tincture of Green soap is really nice (although it hurts the eyes) and the toner really dries up the pimples fast. Just yesterday, she texted me and I gladly scheduled another appointment. She really knows how to get to clients. I would enjoy having another treatment with her this coming December, before I fly to Hong Kong :D And I promise, when I give birth and finished my breastfeeding duties, I would have other treatments and get myself an Obagi set. :)

2013 Wish List!

It has been so long since I wrote about a WISH LIST. If you browse the archives of this blog, I think that was 2007 or so when I first started writing posts about a yearly wish list. It mostly contains superficial things I liked when I was younger (oh, this is mostly material stuff). For example, during that time I was addicted to burning DVDs, I wished for a DVD-RW drive. I also wished for more Korean Drama DVDs as I was also addicted to watching it on my younger days. My wish list past 2009 became more expensive as I started working to earn my own money. I wished for mobile phones and other things that I do not want my parents to purchase for me and I'll buy with my own money.

Anyway, allow me to state this coming year's wish list, which includes lots of "kikay stuff" for a change (for the better, I guess?). Part of next year's New Year's resolution is to become pretty even though I'm having a baby boy (oh yes, I already told myself and convinced myself it's another boy this time).

So, let's start:

1. Curling Iron- this probably was in previous years' wish list, and was fulfilled when I bought a 2-inch curler from an online seller in Sulit a few years back-- but IT WAS TOO BIG for my own good. Plus, I don't have an idea on how to use it. So what I did was to sell it to another person (who probably liked the lower price I gave so I could just dispose it). Now I want to have that Vidal Sassoon brand (VS) I saw in Market! Market! Department store worth 2,800 PHP. Or if I found a cheaper and better alternative in Hong Kong, I'd get it sooner. :)

2. Brush Set- I'm initially thinking of getting a MAC or Bobbi Brown as it had several uber nice reviews online (and on forums) so if it really is cheaper to buy that 12-piece set for personal use in Hong Kong, I'd buy it. If not, I'm thinking of an alternative like Suesh or Sigma, which are probably also available on Hong Kong. Online, the price in PHP if I'll buy it in Multiply is 2,300 PHP (the Suesh one). Not bad.

3. Make up and accessories- Oh yes, it's true. I don't have much makeup in my "kikay kit" except for a BB Cream (Missha), and my MAC Lovelorn Lipstick. I totally threw away all other glosses as I realized I don't have to keep much in the zipped container since I only use one color for all occasions. Oh, I also have that face powder from Max Factor and also another mascara from Max Factor. I had to buy it when I started curling my eyelashes like crazy~ I had this eyelash curling craze since 2011. I did it twice with Let's Face It and Browhaus (super expensive with Browhaus). I liked it, except that on my second try, I had to lose some lashes (chemicals gone wild, I guess). I actually was thinking of getting extensions again like before (I got one sticky lash weaving from Mikaela Bilbao at The Fort before). But yes, I'm preggers and I don't know if it would be fine. So for this number, I will buy all accessories required on my "Beauty list" for my Make up class at MUD Manila.

I don't use falsies because i could never stick them on neatly. Besides, i heard that the glue dries out your eye lids. But if i do need them for stage, shoots or special dates, i use Shu Uemura glue which was recommended by a girlfriend who is never seen without her falsies.
Costing $21 in our Singapore stores ($9 in Tokyo, it's a black tube), it is a adhesive that stays on long enough, nothing's more embarrassing than drooping lashes. Ok, maybe chicken fillets dropping out of bikinis like what i saw at Miss Singapore is more embarrassing.

Make-up artists have also recommended hand-made soft criss cross falsies to look the most natural.
However, when i don't need falsies, Anna Sui's Super Mascara Water Proof pulls me through the day without smudges. They make my lashes look extremely long too, except that it is often clumpy.
$36 at Sephora.
Coated with Anna Sui mascara.
Then i was invited to review Musee, which i did and i was absolutely in love with the lash extensions (chose the natural look). My natural lashes did not drop despite horror stories, I did not have to get it removed professionally as they dropped one by one automatically. Best of all, they looked SO NATURAL that everyone knew i looked different but can't quite lay their finger on what it was.

A woman must have her secrets. The men cannot know without her push-up bra, the falsies, the make-up, her hair extensions, that she is ACTUALLY CMI one. Cannot.Make.It.

I could wash my face (not rub the eyes) and exercise as per normal. I found my eyes abit more itchy than usual though. The lash extensions were so addictive that after the first session ($120 for 100 strands), i went for 2 touch ups ($30 each time). Then i stopped, just because.

After that first experience of lash extensions, i thought it was an ingenious idea to look made-up without make-up. Alas, MUSEE has closed down their lash extension service because their Japanese trainer went back home. That's how perfectionists the Japanese are. Perhaps they couldn't train their local therapists in time so they decided to shelve it.

Recently, i started itching for the convenience of semi-permanent lash extensions again and i checked out Browhaus Express Lash in Bloom.

Unfortunately, Browhaus Express Lash in Bloom ($75) paled in comparison. It may not be a fair comparison judging that the Browhaus ELB, because it being an express service (30 mins), uses clusters instead of Musee's stand by strand technique.

Making a comparison:
Browhaus Express Lash in Bloom.
Musee's Natural Lash Extensions.
The very obvious difference is that Browhaus ELB, despite recommended as "the natural look" looked nothing natural at all. Even worse when there is no make-up and no brows drawn, i looked like a freaky doll.

Although, the more prominent lashes do well in photos.

Alas, i am not a camera whore and i don't live anonymously behind the computer so i do not prefer the ELB. I meet people and i don't use make-up all the time, i will prefer not looking like a creepy doll but will rather look undetected with falsies.

Browhaus's ELB is also heavy and stiff, although to be fair, one must be reminded it is glued on in clusters compared to strand by strand. However, the technique must be the same and it looked as if Browhaus glued the falsies on to the roots of my natural (they claim they don't) which makes me very worried that my natural ones will start dropping! I have lash strengthening serums but i can't seem to brush it on because ELB is too thick and i can't see my roots! Didn't have that problem with Musee's, i could coat both my natural and the extensions with the serum.

I'm tempted to pay $20 for professional removal, barely 5 days after getting ELB. We'll see. Watch this space for updates.

Meanwhile, let me just cam whore more.
